Into The Labyrinth With The Owl In The Rafters
Howdy, and welcome to a slightly different edition of The Owl in the Rafters. Today I'm going to be reviewing a series of video games which I've had something of a personal affair with since the series first sneaked onto the Nintendo DS in '07: the three-part Etrian Odyssey series.

Shiki – Ep 15 – Fifteenth Deceit
With Episode 15, Shiki shows us that it's not afraid to be boring. How edgy! How mysterious! How dark! Also, how sick am I of these episode titles? Really, really sick.

Shiki – Ep 13 – Thirteenth Tragedy
Hey, everybody, remember those sad, empty weeks when no episodes of Shiki aired? Turns out it was all a tricksy plan to have episode 13 release near Halloween - and even better: everyone is in costume!

Shiki – Recap
Everyone, I have really sad news. You might want to sit down before you hear this. Okay? Ready? Here goes: Shiki is on hiatus until October 14. No new episodes, no new hair, no new developments in the Vampire Yuuki storyline. It's rough, I know. Believe me, I feel your pain.

Shiki – Ep 07 – Seventh Killing Spirit
Hey everyone, DJ Christmas here. Hounddog was unable to do the Hound Blog for this week, so she asked me to instead, since I'm apparently the only other person who watches this series. For some reason, this episode title has three words, instead of just two. Strange, but not as strange as the plot of this show.

Shiki – Ep 06 – Sixth Skull
I can't lie: this is the second boring episode in a row. It started out promising (Megumi? Yuuki? Anger? Dismemberment? Jerky film reel art style?), but then it didn't deliver. Well guess what, Shiki? If you won't do it for me, I'm forced to entertain myself.

Shiki – Ep 02 – Second Decay

Shiki – Ep 02 – Second Decay
You know what I really like about Shiki so far? This series is obsessively organized. I mean, in Episode 2 we get an interactive map of town (not once, but twice!) and a slideshow of everyone who's died so far and they've continued introducing new characters with their names and occupations clearly spelled out.
