I hate to say it, but I've been negligent in my duties. Articles left unwritten; Simublasts missing; statues to Kroze not built. While I wish I could point to a legitimate reason, like "my whole family got cancer" or "I fell in love with an awesome girlfriend," I cannot.

Welcome, all, again. Our subject this time is Shirobako, an anime about making anime. And while that might sound like an invitation to kid-glove treatment of subject matter and blatant self-serving promotion, this show deftly repudiates those concerns. It is both funny and engrossing, but makes me wonder how we get to see any anime at all!

Square Enix announced four months ago that they would be holding a Fan Festival in several locations for their two million users. Among the locations was Las Vegas, NV with London and Japan following behind, and our very own Kanashimi was able to attend the gathering, which celebrated a game that’s gone through a total rebirth since its original release.

There was something about walking into the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel, AWA's host hotel, and seeing the hotel staff wearing anime wigs and huge smiles. They've been hosting this event for years, and it was clear that they were welcoming to the event itself. That's always a good sign when heading in to the con.
