Here we are guys...the final episode of Durarara!! that we'll be spending together. We've had some ups and some downs, but like any merry band of friends I think we've come out of it better than ever. At least, that's what Durarara!! wants us to believe.

Wow, guys - it's the second to last episode of Durarara!!! We've come so far together, you and me and this goofy cast of characters and this goofy, frustrating and sometimes infuriating show. I hope you've enjoyed the journey, because I've had a blast and a half.

It’s barely been a week and I’m back to my wordy shenanigans again. But you actually have to read this one so get those eyeballs warmed up because I’m picking up where I left off with part II of “Because It’s Too $@%^ Hot Outside”.

OK, so, remember the ending of last episode where Sonohara was being escorted away by some Yellow Scarves and the Dollars message board was lighting up with details about where she was and Mikado was staring at his computer all, "durrrrrrrrrrr?" Well guess who's still got his DURRR-face on!

Today, instead of Tempest's article this week, while she's at a convention, Molly will be taking us into a magical world in her video debut on 91.8 The Fan.

I think Durarara!! wants us to see Mikado as the hero of the whole adventure, the spunky protagonist who could make or break it all. And you know what? I don't find him likeable in the least, especially in this episode. Watch this episode and you tell me: nice guy or self-centered jerkface?

My relationship with Durarara!! is what you might call rocky, a rollercoaster of emotions. If we were still sticking to the sandwich metaphor, I'd probably say that I wanted to send it back, but then I had a good bite and decided to keep it, but then I had another bad bite and I wanted to send it back again, but ultimately I decided to keep on truckin'.

Remember last time when I commented that the preview for Episode 19 - which featured Izaya smiling and everyone else looking miserable - boded ill for our heroes? Well that's +10 points for me, thanks for playing!

I think the mark of a well-developed character is that you sympathize with and root for him/her, even if you don't always agree with him/her or even totally like him/her.
