Gosick – Episode 6 – The Gray Wolves Summon A Compatriot

Posted on Feb 18 2011

It may be a day late and a dollar short, but I’ll be darned if I let this blog fall behind a full week. Is it March yet? I really want the full version of Destin Histoire. Oh well, let’s start this new arc off without it then.

———————————————————————————————–

Oh hey, Blond Girl is a recurring character now. That’s cool I guess. And now we’re onto a gray wolf that like shiny things. I also like shiny things. So far so good. Oh hey, it’s that guy from the opening. He’s a magician apparently. Not a very good one though. Or maybe he is. Who knows.

And now we have a drunk nun selling antiques. Exploding antiques. And disappearing antiques. A mystery of this caliber calls for Victorique and her pipe. It seems Phallic-hair Man agrees. Whenever he’s around we need to solve some silly mystery.

I’d prefer if Phallic-hair Man didn’t stroke his hair like that. But apparently it was as simple as the nun stealing the nice looking plate. That was rather boring after all. I should listen to Victorique more often. But what’s the motive? And who is this Cordelia person?

There’s that gray wolves thing again. Oh noez. She tripped. But she’s still so adorable. It’s rather amazing how she knows what book is one which shelf. And here we have Kujo being a jerk. For some reason. And Victorique is mad at him for it. Must be a lovers quarrel.

Yes Kujo, that’s it. Candy fixes everything. And here we have Victorique sneaking out, or trying to. Kujo is officially a moron. I noticed that a while ago, but this clenches it. And for some reason, the drunk nun is along for the ride.

They keep mentioning the place they’re going, but I bet it’s the gray wolf town. Yup, not too hard to figure out. I wonder what Victorique wants to do here… It seems like Victorique is somehow related to these gray wolves. And she’s still mad at Kujo.

D’awww, I just can’t get over how adorable she is. Especially when she’s mad. Oh Cordelia is her mom. And she did something ambiguous. Which means that we probably won’t know what that is until next episode. All we known is that she was exiled from the village. The plot thickens.

There, now you two are even. So now all that’s left is to prove Cordelia’s innocence. And here we have people whose name I won’t remember. Mostly because I bet they all die or something. That’s just a hunch though, since only half the unimportant people seem to get killed.

This place reminds me of a Professor Layton game with the drawbridge. But not the swords raised to attack Victorique. That’s no good. Oh, so the crime was murder. So much for my idea. But that’s all we’ll see for now.

I gotta say, this arc is looking to be more interesting than the last one. Hopefully it’s a little longer as well. I guess I’ll see you all next week, on time for sure, for episode seven: A Divine Revelation is Given at the Summer Solstice Festival. Really? We need that long of a title?

———————————————————————————————–

Question time! Is Victorique the most adorable loli/tsundere you’ve ever seen? If somehow you answer no, tell me who is. I defy you to do so.

Now that I understand the whole Dark Reaper thing, I can’t really use that as my common ending stinger, but hopefully I’ll come up with a new one.

I don’t know if I really should have an alternate opinion to Victorique but I’ll defy with Hazuki from Moonphase.

And perhaps a new stinger could be “Kujo’s moron moment” like this episode’s forehead-flicking Victorique’s after she’d just hurt it – it’ll cheer her up?
