To convey my excitement for this Mario themed Round Table I have composed a song. The lyrics are as follows; Yesterday was Tuesday, (Tuesday). Today it is Wednesday, (Wednesday).
EE-EE-EE is so excited, EE is so excited.

And Friday comes after…wards. I don’t want EagleEyes’ Round Table to end.

Now for the Round Table rules: As usual, each participant is given a series of questions covering various aspects in anime, manga and Japanese culture. Each individual then has to provide their opinion on the said issue. Be warned as answers may contain spoilers. Finally, cry realizing Ke$ha had some involvement in the song Run Devil Run.

Mario has featured prominently in the Smash Brothers series, is there a character that you would like to see join our favorite plumber?

• Leviathan Mist- *No, there’s no character I’d like to see join Mario. /sarcasm – Okay, in all seriousness, I’ve always wanted to see some of the abandoned characters from the NES era in the Smash Bros series, such as the dragons from Bubble Bobble and the yo-yo-wielding hero from StarTropics.
• GrimDefeat – Well I would like to see a lot of people in the smash bros series but if I had to choose just one it would have to be Ryu Hayabusa from the Ninja Gaiden series.
• Bargain Gamer- I would love to see Megaman in a Smash Brothers title along with Mario. It’s only fitting, as the Megaman games were originally Nintendo exclusives.
• Mephisto – I don’t know, perhaps the baby versions of Bowser, Mario, and Luigi might be entertaining.
• Kusari- From the Mario realm! King Boo! His dodges could be an invisi-phase mode and that specialty ball thing in Brawl could make ‘im super biiiiiig~! Bwoohoohoohoo!
• Rebecca Black- My friends!

What is you favorite power up from the series. Is there a power up you would like to see introduced in the next game?

• Leviathan Mist-*Well, the Hammer suit and the Tanooki suit are both great power-ups to have, but my favorite power-up, one which has found its way into every Mario game so far, is the invincibility star.
• GrimDefeat – My favorite power up is the feather from Super Mario World, I would like to see a martial arts type power up like Kirby can get only more epic since its Mario.
• Bargain Gamer- Fire flower, hands down. There’s just something incredibly satisfying about laying waste to your opponents with fireballs. As for a new power up, a Bowser suit could be pretty cool. Being able to face off against Bowser with his own abilities would be an awesome addition.
• Mephisto – The Feather that turned Mario from being a simple plumber into a yellow and black cape wearing Super Plumber. To have a new power up? Perhaps a lightning bolt so that he can stop picking his nose for fireballs and do something useful 😀
• Kusari- Probably Frog Suit in Super Mario Bro’s 3! That suit was pumpin’. Aside from that.? Raccoon tail!
• Rebecca Black- Mario wouldn’t need a power up if he got up and had his bowl then had his cereal.

Having already mastered kart racing and golf. What sport would you like Mario to try next?

• Leviathan Mist- *Is Quidditch a sport? I guess not. Mario Rugby, anyone? 😀
• GrimDefeat – Bowling that’s all there is to it.
• Bargain Gamer- A snowboarding game ala Snowboard Kids would be an excellent addition to the franchise. It already fits into their racing theme while still creating a new mode for players to enjoy, harnessing their preexisting strengths with the possibility for innovation. What’s not to love?
• Mephisto – I would definitely play Super Mario Football. American Football, not Soccer.
• Kusari- Mario MMA~! Mario’s Martial Arts! Think about it. Luigi and Thwomp in an arena!
• Rebecca Black- What I want to know, if they all have go karts, how do they decide what seat to take?

What was the first Mario game you ever played? What console was it for?

• Leviathan Mist- *The first Mario game I ever played was Super Mario Bros. for NES. The first one I beat was Super Mario Bros. 2 for NES.
• GrimDefeat – The Mario Bros/ Duck Hunt game on NES.
• Bargain Gamer- I don’t actually remember what the title was, but I’m pretty sure it was either Super Mario Bros. one or two. I never actually owned an SNES, but my best friend did and it was glorious.
• Mephisto – The original Mario Bros. on the NES.
• Kusari- Either Super Mario Bro’s 1 or 3, for the NES. I started playing games at 2 years old like a bawss.
• Rebecca Black- Mario Galaxy for the Wii Wii Wii got me so excited, so excited.

What is your favorite Mario title? Is it from the main series or one of the sports or party games?

• Leviathan Mist- *This is a really hard choice, since every Mario game I’ve played is great in its own right. I could give usual and predictable choices such as Super Mario Bros. 3 or Super Mario World, but I think my absolute favorite Mario game would have to be Super Mario RPG for SNES. This was one of the most underrated games on the SNES, and even I don’t give it the credit it deserves sometimes.
• GrimDefeat – My favorite Mario title is the Mario Land titles they are a little bit of a hidden treasure that no one paid too much attention to if you ask me.
• Bargain Gamer- Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. It actually doesn’t fall into either the main series or party or sports games, but I love it for that. Quite possibly one of the most fun, kid friendly RPGs ever made. This game deserves a ton of love, and I still await the return of Geno in a future Mario game.
• Mephisto – Super Mario World on the SNES. I loved that game, it was where I first met Yoshi and his multi-colored brothers/sisters.
• Kusari- Super Mario Bro’s 3, Paper Mario, or Super Mario RPG~ All great titles!
• Rebecca Black- Mario partying partying, yeah. Mario partying partying, yeah! FUN FUN FUN FUN!

Do you think Princess Peach should finally get off her butt and get some self defense lessons?

• Leviathan Mist- Has she not already? She did a fine job fighting in Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario RPG. I heard she even had her own adventure on the DS called Super Princess Peach.
• GrimDefeat – Yes.
• Bargain Gamer- Nah, no self defence lesson would be enough for her to fend off the might that is Bowser! Now, hire some damn bodyguards for once? You know, for the only ruling member of their entire society? That would be freaking brilliant!

  ….And thus will never happen. D=

• Mephisto – No, what she needs to do is get off her lazy royal rear and get to learning some good turtle-based recipes. I’d like to see Bowser cooked in a pot and served for dinner, he lacks in the evil department. I mean, who steals a fricken princess only to have your giant turtle butt kicked by a measly plumber? Gah…
• Kusari- Sorry Mario. Princess Peach is not in this castle. …U mad?
• Rebecca Black- If she only knew the days of the weekend she could anticipate Bowser’s attacks. Tomorrow is Saturday, Sunday comes afterwards.
