It is the very last EagleEyes’ Round Table for 2010. It is such a sad time it is for EagleEyes that the only way to cheer him up is to have an entire Round Table devoted to Air Gear. So strap on your skates, grab Mai Valentine’s deck and join your friends for the last Round Table of 2010.

No witty puns this week folks, I would just like this time to say thank you. With the year coming to a close and Australia not celebrating Thanksgiving, I have decided to make my own little celebration.

Thank you to Kanashimi, for putting up with me and giving me the opportunity to do what I love.

Thank you to Kibs, for doing whatever it is you do. I promise I will find out one day.

Thank you to the DJs, for always being there to make me laugh.

Thank you to Twilly and Jubilee, for being awesome, the only way you know how.

Thank you content providers, for making me look good via comparison…… I kid, I love you guys and would like to see you more often.

Thank you to the new staff for becoming part of my extended family. I as well as everyone, appreciate your effort.

Now for the Round Table rules: As usual, each participant is given a series questions covering various aspects in anime, Manga and Japanese culture. Each individual then has to provide their opinion on the said issue. Finally, I shake it like a Polaroid picture, shake it, shake it.

Our Participants today are:

What are your overall thoughts on the series? Have you watched the anime? Read the Manga?

• Kusari – Having only seen the anime and read bits of the manga… I would have to say my thoughts on Air Gear would be:
  If you enjoy Skankity Slut Sluts and badass trek’ing then Air Gear is for you! There’s nothing I love more than ripping your opponent apart with the very fangs of your AT’s.
• Jubilee – I find the series to be quite… ridiculous. But hey! It’s anime…so why the heck not? I have only watched the anime.
• Haku – I love the series, and want some Air Treks. I watched the Dub, the Sub, and read the manga. I’m only 20 chapters or so behind, but I’ll catch up soon.
• ZShadowX – Its soooo random! Air Gear just makes me want to get my very own pairs of A.T. Yes, but the anime wasn’t my cup of tea. Don’t get me wrong the anime Air Gear was really good; till they kill it at the very end (waaaaayyy to short!). So right after I finish Air Gear, I started to read the Manga version of Air Gear, just to see what happen next. Both the anime and the Manga are very interesting but I feel the Manga is way superior to the anime version. ~ plus you get a little more fan service
• Kate – I’ve watched the anime series and am still reading the Manga series. I really loved the anime series. It was kinda something different for me. Not like all these adventure/quest type animes I usually watched. However, it’s the first anime that uses roller blades (Air Trecks) for fights and such. The Manga.. it’s a little different. I prefer the anime over the Manga any day.

What or who drew you into the series?

• Kusari – The artist drew me into the series! /oho.
  But honestly, I was told about it and thought it sounded incredibly awesome. Air Trekking teams battling it out for territories and Part Wars are a completely win.
• Jubilee – *Looks at Eagley*
• Haku – I saw the first episode or two in my high school’s Japanese club freshman year, and loved it.
• ZShadowX – EaglesEyes, the day he created “Sleeping Forest” I got hook. Now I can’t seem to get Air Gear out of my head!
• Kate – I didn’t hear about the series from anyone. I just looked it up one day and thought it was interesting. I never got around to watching it until it was put up in the Funimation On-Demand. Hooked me in the first episode. I waited every painful other week just to watch the full anime. Great, overall. Though, the anime needs to continue. No, not just with OVAs but another series. WHO’S WITH ME???

Who is your favorite character? Protagonist? Antagonist? Skankity Slut Slut?

• Kusari – Definitely NUE!!! Though I know little about him… I would have to go with Agito/Akito/HIDDEN due to the fact that he can be cute and cuddly one moment and tearing you apart, Lisa, the next!
• Jubilee – My favorite character would have to be either Akito/Agito or Tom-Tom. Duel-personalities make them twice as cool, and there is just no way to deny the awesomeness of Tom-Tom.
• Haku – My favorite protaganist is a tie between Ikki, Emily, and Ringo. My favorite Antagonist was the time guy, Aeon Clock, and my favorite Skankity Slut Slut is Swimsuit Mask. (Yes, Simca loses even in that respect. :P)
• ZShadowX – Agito/Akito. Agito for being one bad mofo, and sweet kind Akito for being too….. um sweet! Plus the fact they both takes turn to share the same body (like in Yu-Gi-Oh!). You see, Agito does all the fights/ tricks (you know manly man things) and Akito gets the ladies (ok maybe not >-< ). But I didn’t get to the best part yet, if you’re reading the manga, you find out that there is one more person living inside Agito/Akito body, but I won’t spoil it! ~ just that he is very smexy ^~^
• Kate – Now if you were in the Sleeping Forest Fanclub (JOIN THE FANCLUB NOW!) you would know my favorite characters. However, I need to add onto that list by one character. In case you aren’t in it (and, why aren’t you?) my favorites are Ringo, Ume, and now adding Agito/Akito. *should say Simca to get on people’s bad sides :3*

What is your favorite episode or moment of the series? Why is it your favorite?

• Kusari – My favorite moment of the series was probably when Ikki takes on the Devil’s 33. It shows a lot of determination and will power of an AT rider. It also just had a lot of emotion packed into the scene and that is one aspect of anime that I still cherish.
• Jubilee – I like the episode where Agito goes to live with Ikki. It is awesome because Police-Man with a Whip Chain and his Midriff exposed who is also Agito’s brother shows up and puts Agito in his metal hamster ball of doom, but Ikki saves him by making Police-Man with a Whip Chain and his Midriff exposed who is also Agito’s brother’s overly large vehicle go flying into the river. Good Stuff.
• Haku – When Ikki chooses his new road, and eventually challenges the Inorganic Net. It was awesome. Simple as that.
• ZShadowX – The entire Skankity Slut Slut Fan Service YO! Oh you know why XD
• Kate – My favorite one was when Ikki had to jump the Devil’s Thirty Thirty. I don’t want to spoil it, but let’s say I just loved Ikki’s determination and how those thirty people would risk their lives for him in that. Just perfect.

What is your reaction to the announcement and release of at least two additional OVA’s?

• Kusari – Holy Schnitzel, Ikki! Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside but all cold and empty in the wallet.
• Jubilee – I look forward to seeing them eventually…but I can wait. ^-^
• Haku – EAGLE! BUY THEM FOR ME! :3 I’ll make rice?
• ZShadowX – Jizz In My Pants

• Jubilee – TEAM RINGO! Simca can go fall off a building without her magical roller blades on.
• Haku – Ringo-dan, of course. :3
• ZShadowX – Team Akito XD
