Gosick – Episode 17 – The Box Lies In The Spiral Labyrinth

Posted on May 26 2011

Welcome back to the three part YuleBlog update! We’ve got a lot to go over this episode, so let’s not waste any time!

———————————————————————————————–

Right into Destin Histoire. Just how I like it. I still can’t help but feel these short scenes are foreshadowing a bit, but we’ll have to wait an see. This is only episode seventeen after all. So it looks like Victorique was just bait to get Cordelia here. But what the heck is Maman? Maybe that’s her nickname for her. I will go with that.

Snack time. And Kujo brought us the pipe. I take back all the bad stuff I said about him. Wait, I though Phantasmagoria was Roscoe’s show. What’s this about him being unexpected? And how do these people know about Cordelia?

Now we have a projector. I’m sure this will be important somehow later. Hey, it’s that dude from the train. Let’s see what he’s up to. I guess he was doing nothing. Then why is he following us? Well at least we can disprove simple magic tricks. Here’s that other guy from the train. Seems he knows a little bit about Kujo somehow.

Supernatural sisters? Switching places in a closet is supernatural now? Yes watch man, show up these idiots. Watch man gonna die. Predictable enough. And now we have drugs in the mist. That’s one way to do a magic show I guess. And Kujo is leaving Victorique behind. I guess he is just a stupid jerk after all.

Ohai Cordelia. We got a ring. And now Victorique knows a lot about Roscoe. So now that we know a little bit more about the back story and details, I’m still not sure what to do with these new puzzle pieces. I’ll just hold them off to the side so I don’t forget them later.

So now we’re back to this whole Reaper thing. I still say it’s all very racist. Oh snap, the old train guy was really Victorique’s Daddy. He has the evil monocle and everything. The only tool I see here is Albert, dunno about the rest of you. And now we have flooding for some reason.

So now we have to escape, and I’m willing to bet the only way for our favorite duo to do so is with Kujo acting like a dumb hero. Oh look, I totally called it. Don’t you just love predictability? At least we have Resuscitated Hope playing in the background. I like that ED better than the one we have now.

So let’s wrap this up here. I had no idea Kujo could run so fast. But it seems he lost his hat, and they left the bags behind. But like Victorique says, they are still alive. Which is good, because seventeen is a silly number to end a series at. So that’s it for this part of the triple update. Catch you guys in the next one for episode eighteen: The Jet-black Train Carries Several Lies. Sweet, a whole episode on a train. This’ll be just as awesome as Baccano!

QUESTION TIME! What do you think of Albert here? Kind of a big jerk if you ask me. I don’t really care for him.
