Dragonaut: The Resonance – Episode 5/6 – My Kingdom For Some Relevant Happenings

Animation
I’m going to be honest, it’s been a while since I’ve seen this series, or much of any anime to begin with, but if I remember correctly, there are far better things out there than this. Knowing that the character design was done by the same person responsible for the Witchblade anime, I can’t even force myself to like any of it. Also it’s kind of bad anyway.

Soundtrack
Ehwha? Oh there’s music. Well, you could have fooled me. I don’t remember jack, it could be because I don’t care, plus it’s funnier that way. But I wish I could remember other than the opening and ending theme. Which aren’t bad, per se, they just get old.

Story
Less emo this time around, mostly because it involved reunions, though it looks like tall dark and brooding is looking to become our new angst character.

Characters
I feel like I should mention something about how ridiculous the boobs are, but I’d just be repeating myself. But come on, man, it’s grotesque.

Wrapping up
You can’t have a story where everyone is always upset all the time, you have to have some happiness for a few episodes before stuff hits the fan. Don’t just throw us into no holds barred emotional stupidity.
