Welcome, all, again. As regular readers will know, I tend to gravitate towards slice-of-life series. However, I might seem to some to be a bit generous with that designation, including series that obviously belong to other genres. My own position is that most living things--works of art included--have multiple facets to their being, thus enabling me to focus upon some aspect others might overlook.

Welcome, all, again. Today I'm excited to discuss the new fantasy/slice-of-life anime If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord. To be honest, I had only heard of this as a light novel series; I didn't even realize that there was an anime version planned.

Welcome, all, again. My last post herein covered The Magnificent Kotobuki, a group of pilots first fighting air pirates, then transitioning to fight an actual war.

Welcome, all, again. As we settle into a new viewing season, today's subject will be the just-concluded The Magnificent Kotobuki, which might surprise regular readers who know how much I normally dislike CGI animation. (And new stuff in general. But, hey, I'm old and grouchy. And I've earned it, too!) Now, don't get me wrong--CGI animation can come in very useful for particularly detailed images, especially of a mechanical persuasion.

Welcome, all, again. Today we look back on anime's own gateway drug, Cowboy Bebop. As you have no doubt already heard, Netflix is again taunting the gods of anime by producing a live-action desecration--excuse me, adaptation--of this beloved anime series. And only 2 years after thoroughly mutilating Death Note! Why?

Have you ever dreamed of running your own restaurant? Have you ever dreamed of being the only employee at your own restaurant, forced to juggle tasks and keep up with customer demand throughout the whole day while keeping the high standards your patrons have come to expect? Cooking the cheeseburgers, taking the trash out, doing the dishes?

Welcome, all, again. My past two reviews have focused upon shows that allude to serious matters, from the challenges of shaping an adult mindset from the normal morass of hormonal adolescent emotions to the displacement of refugees during wartime. So let's close the year with something a little lighter: Between the Sky and Sea, an identity-crisis of an anime combining elements of both Sci-Fi and fantasy.

Welcome, all, again. After last season's disheartening dearth of entertaining shows, I just can't keep up this season's bountiful offerings! One which I have been particularly enjoying is Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, a rather unconventional rom-com.

Welcome, all, again. A new viewing season has begun, and this one seems to offer many more selections to my taste. In fact, I'm very excited about two shows in particular: Goblin Slayer (reviewed on my site anotheranimereview.com) and Xuan Yuan Sword Luminary.
