All right guys, we’re almost there! We come now to the number two Megami Tensei game on my list, and probably the most variant of the group, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon.

One of my favorite parts of the Megaten series is the way that it manages to incorporate the same basic elements into all of the different games while still maintaining a sense of uniqueness between them. It allows for relatively easy access to the entire series library, at least from a mechanical perspective, if you’ve already played any of the other games. This is all Tyto's fault. I had purposely been avoiding Minecraft for some time now, although not for the reasons you might suspect. It's not that I thought the game's concept was without merit, nor did I harbor any delusions of it being a bad game or that it was in any way mechanically flawed.

It’s funny, but I’ve never really been one to get into the hype that surrounds most main stream titles. This is not to say that I don’t enjoy them, as I do, but that my consideration of which games I want to play and my subsequent enjoyment are not based off of other people telling me how good or bad a game will be.

Over one hundred hours of game play. A lofty goal for any developer, even within the traditionally lengthy RPG market. And an even more difficult goal when trying to keep said one hundred hours interesting and fresh for the player the whole time they're playing.
