I think it’s safe to say that Indie games are a hit or miss bunch. Love them or hate them, there is just as good of a chance that an “Indie” title will end up being a waste of time as there is that it will have any quality in its execution.

Oh god, where do I even start with this one. Max Payne 3 is a AAA title published by top tier game developer Rockstar Games, the developers of such beloved games as Grand Theft Auto (pick one) and Red Dead Redemption.

There comes a time that every reviewer wants to set aside their persona. To communicate something deeply personal about themselves or their beliefs with their audience. A desire for them to reach beyond the veil of separation and show the reader what they truly value and care about. That, for perhaps one fleeting moment, they might share a piece of themselves with their audience so that both they and their readers can grow from the experience.

There is a question that I hear fairly frequently that bothers me more than it rightly should. I understand the intent behind the query, but the way it is phrased is so poorly thought out and foolish sounding that it makes me roll my eyes just out of reflex. Because no matter how intelligent the person may be, the moment they ask that flawed question, “Are video games art?”

It’s funny. There have been hundreds, perhaps even thousands of super heroes created for public consumption. From the straight forward heroism of Superman to the crazy antics of Deadpool, there has always been a character type for fans to latch onto and watch as they evolved through the medium of comics.

Wooooooo! This review marks one year since I first started writing for The Fan, with my first game review for the site about Devil Kings first being posted back on February third of last year.
