Press Release — Crunchyroll To Simulcast The Pet Girl Of Sakurasou

Posted on Oct 11 2012

San Francisco, Calif. (October 10, 2012) – Crunchyroll, Inc., continues with its fall simulcast announcements with the addition of The Pet Girl Of Sakurasou, which is set to broadcast every Wednesday starting on October 10, at 12:00 pm Pacific Time for its premium members. Free members will be able to view one (1) week after initial broadcast on Crunchyroll. More information can be found on www.crunchyroll.com/sakurasou.

The Pet Girl Of Sakurasou will be available to Crunchyroll’s audience in the following territories: USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.

Originally published as a light novel – Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo – by writer Hajime Kamoshida, the anime features the voice talents of Yoshitsugu Matsuoka from Sword Art Online’s Kirito, and Ai Kayano, whose other works include Kikaijima Mogana from Medaka Box and Saori Takebe from this season’s Girls Und Panzer, as Mashiro. Veteran voice actor and actress Takahiro Sakurai and Yui Horie also join the cast as fellow students and dorm mates Jin Mitaka and Ryunosuke Akasaka, respectively.

“Sorata Kanda is a high school sophomore who moved into the Sakurasou dormitory against his will. One day, Mashiro Shiina, a world famous artist, transfers and moves in next door to him. Despite being a genius artist, she has absolutely no ability to live on her own, and is bereft of common sense and the most basic living skills. Being a helpful sort of guy, Sorata gets chosen to become Mashiro’s caretaker, and thus begins this ‘owner’ and ‘pet’ relationship between the two.”

Episodes can be accessed from Crunchyroll.com, the free iPad and iPhone application, the Android application, Windows Phone, PS3, Roku, Google TV, Boxee, Vizio VIA, WD TV Live and additional set-top channels, and affiliate partners.

Crunchyroll premium members will have access to the largest anime and drama selection, same-day access for simulcasted titles, no advertisements and can be viewed in up to 1080p quality on selected titles.
