Don’t understand France’s concern. Criterion Collection has several French directors whose movies were avant garde at the time on topics no less “controversial”. Probably still ticked they didn’t come up with whizzing on a crucifix like that exhibit displayed in a large US metro area a few years ago. Boohoo.
