What have you been reading?
(I'm posting this here under the assumption that the "Literature" section was meant for posting your own works.) Yes, I made a thread about books on an anime site. For those uninformed of us : Book n : A set of written, printed, or blank pages fastened along one side and encased between protective covers. I recently finished reading "1984" by George Orwell. Just a tad bit depressing, but overall a very good read. It reminds me alot of Fahernheit 451 and Animal Farm. Before that I wasted all my spare time reading through George Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire". A very engaging and original series(that's right kids, original fantasy). Argh... can't wait for the fifth book.

Re: What have you been reading?
The ending of 1984 pissed me off, but it was a great ending nonetheless.
I just finished reading Needful Things by Stephen King, which was totaly awesome. I am currently reading The Double Helix for my Biology class. |

i dont really read physical books anymore, though i find Stephen Hawking's books to be quite thoughtful. |

Re: What have you been reading?
The Stand is not a good stepping stone to get into Stephen King.

Re: What have you been reading?
Wow, I love reading but I don't have the time or money for books. The last fiction book I read was probably World War Z, and that's almost a year ago.

Re: What have you been reading?
@Loki : Surely your local library would have such a classic book?

Re: What have you been reading?
@Chris: raaaaaaaage.
I want a translation of the Sword World novels. Lodoss is probably one of my favorite anime (I should get my hands on the manga) so any of the novels would probably interest me. Not book related, but I haven't read a lot of good fantasy manga. Most tend to be Harem mage schools... Any suggestions?

Re: What have you been reading?
@loki, you can buy the novel Fahrenheit 451, its not that big, so it shouldnt be expensive at all on amazon or something.
http://www.amazon.com/Fahrenheit-451.../ref=pd_cp_b_1 less than $10 USD (without shipping) it was quite an interesting book, had to read it in my high school English class. |

1 series I just finished reading a little while ago (until the other books in the series come out) is Ranger's Apprentice! It comes highly recommended from me and my mom, those of you who know Chelle XD I got her into the series, and both of us absolutely love it ;O

I'll have to check that out then, Mimiko. =D
One series I'm currently reading is the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks.

Re: What have you been reading?
I wish I could read as much as I used to. Reading is one of my favorite hobbies. Alas, I am extremely picky about what I read and I'm pretty busy these days. -__-
