Re: Favorite Themes of 2009
Ummm...that's a toughie, actually. I'll have to think about this...
Ending theme wise? Those are definitely harder for me to recall, as I normally only watch one ending once for every four openings...if that makes sense.

Re: Favorite Themes of 2009
I dropped GA after I figured out it was a poor effort to try and match Hidamari Sketch, a far superior series. Not that GA was bad or anything, it was just trying way too hard.
Speaking of which, Hey, it aired in 2009, thus it's a 2009 opening. I liked Eden of The East's opening theme myself. Loved the choice of music.

I was thing about throwing the x365 OP and ED too, but the main series was '08, so I decided not to. EDIT: If we're counting Toradora, which I could buy, Last edited by Shadowblade Edge; 01-08-2010 at 12:32 AM. |

Re: Favorite Themes of 2009
But GA was just so...it didn't introduce the characters right, and the only things art related it focused on was the actual utensils, materials and paint. No art styles were focused on, and it then decided it wanted to be a comedy, thus shoving what it had developed aside for some slapstick.
Yeah, that's why I thought it was trying too hard. I wouldn't compare it to Azu either, as everyone tries to for every SoL series. e.g. Pani Poni is more like Negima and Excel Saga, not Azumanga Daioh and Excel Saga. I think PreParade is far superior to ToraDora's second opening, but I didn't count it, as the opening originally aired in 2008.

Also I don't want to talk about GA in this thread, if you'd start it's own thread I be happy to continue. If not though, I don't GA is "trying" to be anything, and should be watched for it's own sake. |
