Pokemon Black 2 and White 2

 

The newest Pokemon main franchise game for the NDS. Pokemon Black 2, and Pokemon White 2.
Both versions have Kyurem for a mascot, but with 2 new forms (Officially named by the director, Junichi Masuda, Black Kyurem and White Kyurem).
There is no information about the game other then it being a squeal to Pokemon Black and Pokemon White and that the games will be for Nintendo DS but will sport some DSi and 3DS support
Will the games continue after the events of Black and White? or will it just be the same game with an alternate story plot? it will be updated as it goes.

(1st scan) The games are true sequels, taking place two years after the originals.
The Unova region sports new towns, buildings, locations, and Gym Leaders. New subway lines will take you to new places.

Half of the Unova map is covered by ice for unknown reasons.

The Pokedex features 300 Pokemon from every generation. So far, Psyduck is #026, Riolu is #033, Metagross is #254, and Eevee is confirmed but has an unknown Dex number.

Black Kyurem is confirmed to know Freeze Shock and White Kyurem is confirmed to know Ice Burn.

(2nd scan) There are two new protagonists along with a new rival. The rival has text saying, "Now I'm gonna get angry!" He's the boy with the blue spiky hair. He is your childhood friend.

Homika is a new Poison-type Gym Leader. She's the girl holding the guitar. She is going to be in an episode of the show in June.

Shizui is also a new Gym Leader who uses Water Pokemon. He's the tan guy with the goggles.

There is a new "mysterious guy" named Akuroma who is studying Pokemon strength. Sometimes he'll help you on your journey. He's the guy with the glasses and white coat.

(3rd scan) You begin your journey in Hiougi City. It is on the map in an area that was previously uninhabited in the original games on the left side of Unova (the southwest side). It features an underwater tunnel made of glass (does it take you to the main region?). The city also sports a Pokemon Center, a Trainer School, and shops.

The magazine points out that there is new construction in the Resort Desert and that there is a new building with red and blue decorations. For the latter it says, "What's it mean?"

When I saw this last night on Serebii, my first thought was "lawl, there goes our 'Pokemon Grey' idea". I find it silly that their fused Kyurem with the jet engine dragons, but I hope they make them Fire/Ice and Electric/Ice instead of part dragon. I would like to see those type combos used!

I think the rumor is that the game takes place AFTER the events of B/W but that begs the question of if they will use the same protagonists and if we'll see N again.

Also, there's a good shot that the international release won't see a huge delay after the Japanese release to ward of pirates. Wouldn't it be awesome to see this game sooner rather than later. (Besides, the pause between the first gen 5 games and the 3rd installment has been longer than usual).

Let's keep our fingers crossed for a speedy release!

Im thinking it would take the GSC crystal approach where it's a new protagonist and you battle the previous protagonist on a mountain somewhere :P.
Course I'm not sure how that would work given there was a gender choice in BW

Wouldn't it be cool if they did go about like GSC and expanded Unova to include more use for surf and dive.

If they did that I would be very happy. I'm actually interested in seeing how they develop this story, and since they say it is a direct sequel I really want to see how they can top B/W's story.

Hm. I'm going to have to see more info before I can get excited about this one. The lazy 2 at the end bothers me to be honest, as it would've been so easy to call it something like Obsidian and Ivory in order to keep the color theme. But as I said, more info is needed before I can decide.

It's essentially one of the newer Legends, but they just gave him 2 new forms that where kept "secret" up until now, because that's Pokemon's thing since gen 4, just making alternate forms for Legendaries and counting it as a "new Pokemon"

A small update.
3DS covers where announced to be released for BW2.
The plates have info regarding Black Kyurem and White Kyurem, confirming that in both forms his type is still Ice/Dragon

Buuuuh that's so boring! It would have been so cool to work the fire/electric types in... I am a bit disappointed, however, they said a new pokemon may be revealed soon. Would you want to see a whole new species or an evolution of an existing pokemon? I think I would want to see a new species, but considering what has been going on with these hybrids, I would say we may just see an evolution or another hybrid.

I can't imagine they'd jump into 6th gen so soon, it's been a year or so since BW, Gens have a good 4-5 years before they move on.
unless they've figured out how to ultimately re-design the data of an entire game with a DLC/Event I don't see how they could add a brand new Pokemon.
Of course, knowing Nintendo, when they say "new Pokemon" i'll bet everything that it would be Genesect.
Remember they never acknowledged Arceus' existence until the movie was announced. They did the same thing to Keldo, Kyurem and Meloetta (they where "new Pokemon" when they revealed the Kyurem movie)

And how many hundreds of Pokemanz will this add?

Not enough! Soon there'll be a Gen 6.

My biggest hope is that we either get access to older Pokemon, or a huge Dream World update
