Re: Something Unrelated to The Fan But I considered to be of great importance
I think in essence it is a great cause, but I don't really like the organization.
When this video went viral last week, or the week before, I can't remember, I did a little research. The video is rather misleading, considering Kony hasn't been in Uganda since 2006. The organization doesn't seem to be doing much with their money, not a whole lot actually goes to the cause, but mostly I don't understand why they want the American military to intervene, it's going to start a war in which they're killing the children they're trying to save. A lot of people were inspired by the video and were suddenly social activists without actually looking into the cause, to see if everything in that video was true. No doubt Kony needs to be gone away with, but Invisible Children doesn't seem to be the most reputable group. http://visiblechildren.tumblr.com/po...we-got-trouble

Re: Something Unrelated to The Fan But I considered to be of great importance
I seen the video and everything such as writing a report about his actions in Africa but all that I can say is that there is not enough motions in the organization making this film will make the United Nations do something about it. Another reason is that politicians wouldn't think about this instantly since there is nothing to profit from there (such as oil, where Iran/Iraq are standing on causing the current updates there).
Overall, I am interested in him being realized as a political candidate (which could backfire) as a infamous dictator, or as he described himself as "the lord's voice" which I find ironic in itself. |
