Re: Anyone read novels... ever?
I'm still picking my way through Hugo's Les Miserables. I'm loving every second if this, but this brick is a hefty 1400 pages. Given my schedule, this is going to be a year long engagement T^T

Re: Anyone read novels... ever?
The Chronicles of Amber. It's a ten book series that blew my freaking mind. I have actually read the entire series no less than 5 times.
Dragon Riders of Pern. Fantastic books with a focus on fantasy but with a sci-fi twist. Definitely worth checking out. If you haven't read these books, you need to correct this fundamental flaw in your character. I will even go so far as to agree to read a book of your choosing if it means you picking one of these books up (preferably the chronicles, because they're my favorite >.>;). Do it. |

Currently reading 'Necronomicon: the best weird tales of H.P. Lovecraft'. Its... long to say the least. Also have a massive pile of books to read because of Christmas. Not that it wasn't a big pile before then.

Re: Anyone read novels... ever?
Oh man, so right now I am absolutely obsessed with Neal Stephenson's Baroque Cycle series. It is a historical and political fiction that strongly involves well known figures in 1600's European history as reoccurring characters with singular personalities. His characterization of Isaac Newton is eerily realistic (as in, I could completely imagine him interacting this way in society outside of the history books).
I'm also looking forward to picking up his books Anathem and Cryptonomicon (which a certain someone has yet to finish!). I love his sense of style in his writing and I highly recommend him to scifi and history nerds.

Re: Anyone read novels... ever?
that sounds pretty interesting Molly. I myself am reading the 5th Frankestien book by Dean Koontz. This series take the concept of frankenstien and throws it out the window, based in America Frakenstien's monster is the good guy helping 2 cops stop his creator Victor Frankestien from creating an army of frankestiens so he can take over the world and elimanate all human life. Very good read for anyone who hasn't read it yet

Yes, it is my hobby. I mostly love reading love, sci-fi and horror types are my favourites. Finally I read “What I didn’t say” by Keary Taylor. It was a heartwarming movie, I enjoyed it a lot.

Re: Anyone read novels... ever?
I started reading Piers Anthony's Split Infinity again. I still have my copy of the 1985 edition! LOL I may go and find a newer version, cuz I'm afraid I'm gonna ruin it. Haven't read The Apprentice Adept series since high school. Man I'm in a nostalgic mood lately! XD
