| Free! Nanase Haruka loved to be in the water - loved swimming. In elementary school, Nanase Haruka, Tachibana Makoto, Matsuoka Rin, and Hazuki Nagisa attended the same swimming class together. Time passed, and as Haruka was living an uneventful high school life, he suddenly encountered Rin again. Rin challenged Haruka to a race and showed him how much stronger he had become. Soon enough, Makoto and Nagisa also rejoined the group, and along with a new classmate, Ryugazaki Rei, they established the Iwatobi High School Swimming Club. |

Free! Episode 002 Discussion
This episode tricked me! I totally thought Rin just ate it, but go figure, he actually won. The guy's a jerk. There's seriously no reason for him to be. No sympathy for the half shark man and his obsession with mermaid Haru.
Also, Makoto is still the best character. He shares his food with his little sister and brother, so cute. The teacher also had some new developments. The fact she was a gravure model as a previous job... I just lost it.

I have to say Haru is my fav, mainly because of pool adhd.
Water? Drop everything, strip, and jump in! I need to see more swimming though. we got 2 halves of a race at two ends of the episode :( I have to agree the fact Ama-chan was a gravure model was hilarious. I figure Rin will have a reason for being an emo jerk, but again, don't curr! I agree with Kana, lamest char.
