Re: Favorite Movie Quotes
We're Knights of the Round Table.
We dance whene'er we're able. We do routines and chorus scenes With footwork impeccable. We dine well here in Camelot. We eat ham and jam and spam a lot. We're Knights of the Round Table. Our shows are formidable, But many times we're given rhymes That are quite unsingable. We're opera mad in Camelot. We sing from the diaphragm a lot. In war we're tough and able, Quite indefatigable. Between our quests we sequin vests and impersonate Clark Gable. It's a busy life in Camelot. I have to push the pram a lot. -the dancing knights, monty python and the holy grail.

Re: Favorite Movie Quotes
I do have a test today, that wasn't bull. It's on European socialism. I mean, really, what's the point? I'm not European. I don't plan on being European. So who gives a crap if they're socialists? They could be fascist anarchists, it still doesn't change the fact that I don't own a car.
... Not that I condone fascism, or any -ism for that matter. -Ism's in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me." Good point there. After all, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. I'd still have to bum rides off people. -Ferris Bueller

Most of my favorite movie quotes are from the Back to the Future series, I love BttF.
"1.21 jiggawatts" and "Make like a tree and get out of here" are my favorites.

"You guys, you know what? You're nuts. You're all nuts. You've been focused so hard on making it, you forgot about one thing. It's called the music. And I don't even care. You know what? So what. I don't want to hang out with a bunch of wannabe corporate sellouts. I'm gonna form my own band. And we are gonna start a revolution. Okay? And you're gonna be a funny little footnote on my epic arse."

Re: Favorite Movie Quotes
Mine is actually in the form of a song that starts off as a solo but then turns into a duet. It's the final scene of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.
"My dearest friend, if you don't mind... I'd like to join you by your side. Where we can gaze into the stars... and sit together... now and forever... For it is plain... as anyone can see... we're simply meant to be.~" I'm a huge Nightmare Before Christmas fanatic. It's one of the only things aside from anime/manga that I'm obsessed with lol. |

Re: Favorite Movie Quotes
No anime content, many of the quotes I never forgot are mostly distilled from movies:
"So what's the plan?" "Plan!?" "There ain't no Plan!?" Train chase scene with Mad Max beyond Thunderdome Mel Gibson and several Australian actors/actresses discussing strategems while fleeing Tina Turner's herd of bikers and crazies .5 mile behind them. Would have a been a really cool post-Apocalyptic flick were it not for disjointed continuity....a lot like Life, I guess. "Sneak up on you like an Indian" quote by the late great Chief Dan George in the Clint Eastwood saga The Outlaw Josie Wales. There were many other notable quotes in that movie by other actors but the banter, also by Chief Dan George, about the US Calavary trying to avenge the death of Gen'l Ulyssess Custer by making 1 of the hostile's abandoned horse surrender was priceless. |

"Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim." ...and... "I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy. Come on, Squishy Come on, little Squishy. Ow. Bad Squishy, bad Squishy."
Dory, Finding Nemo "Dear Darla, I hate your stinking guts. You make me vomit. You're scum between my toes! Love, Alfalfa." ...and... "We've got a dollar, we've got a dollar, we've got a dollar, hey, hey, hey, hey." Buckwheat, The Little Rascals

Re: Favorite Movie Quotes
Where are all the serious meaningful quotes?! So many playful ones! I must remedy this!
There are a lot of quotes from certain movies I love and one of my all time favorite scenes was from Good Will Hunting, the park scene, it isn't the entire monologue but mostly the parts that touched me the most and many quotes can be taken from it. Bravo Robin Williams, Bravo "You're just a boy. You don't have the faintest idea what you're talking about." "If I asked you about women I'm sure you could give me a syllabus of your personal favorites, and maybe you've been laid a few times too. But you couldn't tell me how it feels to be truly happy." "If I asked you about war you could refer me to a bevy of fictional and non-fictional material, but you've never been in one. You've never held your best friend's head in your lap and watched him draw his last breath, looking to you for help." "And if I asked you about love I'd get a sonnet, but you've never looked at a woman and been truly vulnerable. Known that someone could kill you with a look. That someone could rescue you from grief. That God had put an angel on Earth just for you." "And you wouldn't know how it felt to be her angel. To have the love be there for her forever. Through anything, through cancer." "You wouldn't know about sleeping sitting up in a hospital room for two months holding her hand and not leaving because the doctors could see in your eyes that the term "visiting hours" didn't apply to you." "And you wouldn't know about real loss, because that only occurs when you lose something you love more than yourself, and you've never dared to love anything that much." "I look at you and I don't see an intelligent confident man, I don't see a peer, and I don't see my equal. I see a boy."

Inigo Montoya: "That Vizzini, he can fuss."
Fezzik: "Fuss... fuss... I think he like to scream alas!" Inigo Montoya: "Probably he means no harm." Fezzik: "He's really very short on charm!" Inigo Montoya: "You have a great gift for rhyme." Fezzik: "Yes, yes, some of the time." Vizzini: "Enough of that." Inigo Montoya: "Fezzik, are there rocks ahead?" Fezzik: "If there are, we all be dead!" Vizzini: "No more rhymes now, I mean it!" Fezzik: "Anybody want a peanut?" Vizzini: *Enraged Yelling* - The Princess Bride
