Girls' Generation And The Dangerous Boys
I've seen a lot of new reports for this show and caught an episode on my mom's TV on the weekend.
From what I gather the basic premise is about five delinquents who are forced to live in a dorm together, and their teachers are none other than Girls' Generation. The girls' aren't their only teachers though, the boys have therapists, actual teachers (for classes), the production crew, etc. The girls are more there as guidance counselors if anything, but since they're such a huge name in Korea the boys legit listen to them it seems. The boys came from a life of never studying, family problems, no goals, drinking, or smoking. In the dorms they get appropriate punishments and rewards depending on how they do. Their big goal is to work together and learn a dance for Street Jam with the help of the girls and their teachers. I caught this around the time they've gotten really, really good. Coming from their background they've made a lot of progress so far. I've seen a lot of netizens saying that why are the girls from Girl's Generation even there, but it seems like they're all friends and they are legit helping the boys. What do you guys think? Even though Girls' Generation isn't certified for this sort of thing do you think this is helpful for a bunch of boys to have someone to look up to or that they're making the situation worse? |
