The Chronicles of Amber. It's a ten book series that blew my freaking mind. I have actually read the entire series no less than 5 times.

Dragon Riders of Pern. Fantastic books with a focus on fantasy but with a sci-fi twist. Definitely worth checking out.

If you haven't read these books, you need to correct this fundamental flaw in your character. I will even go so far as to agree to read a book of your choosing if it means you picking one of these books up (preferably the chronicles, because they're my favorite >.>;). Do it.
