Jon Stewart to leave "Daily Show"
it's been announced by Jon himself during a Tuesday recording that he will be leaving "The Daily Show" after 15 years when his contract expires at the end of the year. Jon took over the show from Craig Kilborn in 1999.
This is horribly sad for me after the loss of Colbert, I can only hope he has new work soon. I went to a recording once in Sept 2012 when Jimmy Carter was the guest (it was also the first time I met a president face to face). I'll miss ya Jon.

Re: Jon Stewart to leave "Daily Show"
It's hard for me to comment because I wasn't a fan of either of their shows. I do think they were well thought out however, and appreciate the effort both of them put forth. I also find them fairly smart, but I didn't often watch either of their shows. As they say, all good things must come to an end.
As long as it isn't South Park... I'm all good. :P |

Loss of Colbert? Did he quit as well? I might be REALLY out of the loop.
Please don't tell me tha hack Jon Oliver is the only one left...

Re: Jon Stewart to leave "Daily Show"
Jon Oliver has his own show, he does a weekly roundup of the news every... I wanna say Saturday?
Colbert is taking over for David Lettermen at the "Late Show". Larry Wilmore replaced Colbert with The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore which is like a Bill Maher show in the same way Colbert was like the O'Reily factor.

It's sad but he was getting restless, and you shouldn't do something if your heart isn't in it.

I just hope that a few months after he leaves he finds out it wasn't just burn out.

Re: Jon Stewart to leave "Daily Show"
I haven't seen any Larry Wilmore, but I'm definitely not a fan of Jon Oliver. He was fine on the Daily Show as a correspondent, but with a show it's unfunny.

Re: Jon Stewart to leave "Daily Show"
Actually, you should give his show a chance. I was never a fan of Oliver unless he played the stereotype British guy, but his show is actually pretty funny.

I mean I did. It was exceedingly unfunny. If I was an SJW I'd love it. Buuuut I'm not.
