Well I can't and I have. An AMV can't "be like a MAD" because they are MADs, so unless you can accept this we aren't gonna get...

No they aren't. MAD is a blanket term for basically any A/V fanwork, AMVs among them, though I believe they're called anime MADs in Japants, but six of one half a dozen of another.

I don't see why it wouldn't. AMVs are just a subset of MADs, so as long as it's noise (AMV's grown to be pretty broad) over anime I'd imagine...
