Tempest's Downpour -- Howl's Moving Castle

Here's where you can bash me for bashing Miyazaki in my third article, found here.

totally random to find all that about Howls to one impression of mind, IMHO I think that the overall story is just beyond epic and the animation to be absolutly beautiful, the characters voices were a perfect match, and like you said the movie left open some major plot holes... Still pretty good

I've always been a big fan of Dianna Wynn Jones & I adore the Howl novels. I especially love how she frequently describes Sophie as a "hale old woman."

But honestly, Dianna's best work is the Dalemark Quartet. If you haven't read it, I -highly- recommend it!

*squeal* Diana Wynne Jones recs! <33 I love you now.

I'm currently reading Dogsbody which is way darker than anything else I've read by her. Howl will always have a special place in my heart, though, because it was the first book that really pulled me into reading outside of Animorphs.
