Vidja Game Assistance Thread

Sometimes the video game guide sites don't always have the answer you need, but then there are forums. This thread is for anyone that needs help in a video game, like being stuck on a specific boss or confused about how to do something. This thread is open to anyone and everyone to ask a question to the community or offer a solution to another's question, without the need to make an individual thread.

When asking a question be sure to be descriptive and name the game you're having trouble with.
When answering also be sure to be descriptive and specifically quote the question you're answering.

I guess I'll give the first question,
Tactics Ogre Let us Cling Together: PSP
I'm having a lot of trouble keeping my characters powerful enough to progress through the story, very often the game will outnumber you almost 2 to 1. My knight, valkyrie, and sometimes my main character don't hit very hard even though I keep their weapons up to date and have the strengthen I or II skills on them. Any suggestions?

Is it an RPG? You should probably go grind. I've found that most RPGs are set up to where if you JUST play through the story you will undoubtedly be under-level most of the game. They do this on purpose to make the game longer. I'd say go exploring and killing things until you can kill everything in one hit. #hand

Oh boy, mate. You've picked a great SRPG to play, one of the best I might add. But it sounds like you've gotten yourself into the bump in the road everyone encounters a sometime (or many times) in this game.

The only thing I could suggest is that you get your main character (protagonist) and your knight and Valkyrie to be the last ones to deal the killing blow to an enemy. By doing so, they'll get the majority of the EXP and they'll find themselves levelling up exponentially. This is the kind of strategy you use to get characters, who are generally under levelled, or you obtained a new character and they're not quite up to par, in order to become the backbone of your brigade.

This will require to go back to places you've visited and using past maps and their enemies as punching bags. However, be careful to bring good support for those whom you're trying to level up (a healer of some sort and a buffer) and you'll need to have a few people to do the damage too. Then just get your main three to deal the killing blow.

A last word: It's crucial that you determine who in your party/brigade/band-of-misfits should be support, who should be the tanks, who should be long-range artillery. Use the terrain to your advantage and recognise each unit's strengths and weaknesses and use strong units to protect weaker ones (supports in particular).

Hope all of that helps. If it's nothing you haven't heard before, sorry mate, but good luck with playing a great SRPG. #thumbsup

Thanks for the help guys, though I didn't want to have to grind but oh well.

Anyone else got questions?

Play as Yoshi or Toad. They automatically make you better at racing. It's science! #seriously

Seriously though, Mario Kart is just one of those games where practice makes all the difference. Learning the courses and mastering the controls over time is the best advice I can give.

If you don't already, try jumping around corners.

I WANT.... THAT LAST.... ACHIEVEMENT SO I CAN ERASE IT FROM MY XBOX AND MEMORY

You gotta make your way out into the endless desert portion and keep searching out there until you find an area that's not endless desert, you'll know because it will look like a junkyard, and from there go north I believe. It's usually pretty easy to find the area if you go straight right once you leave the gates into the desert.

If anyone owns a PS3, Arkham Asylum for said PS3 and wants to beat these !*&%# combat challenges for me, I'd find some way to reward them.
