Re: First Ever Animes you saw?
The first anime I ever saw was Sailor Moon, and I usually watched DBZ right after that and Pokemon in the morning c: Oh and Digimon! Digimon was probably my favorite show back then :D
Serial Experiments: Lain was also one that I got into. So after watching happy time dubbed animes on american television I was watching crazy serious business animes on VHS. I saw some of Slayers too but I was more into reading manga back then than watching a lot of anime Oh yeah and Gundam Wing. Gundam Wing was a big one for me too. |
Re: First Ever Animes you saw?
Pokemon, DBZ and Sailor Moon obviously, but the first that I actively hunted down was Spider Riders. I searched all over Google Video, before YouTube existed for you young'ns, and was able to find all of it. Wish there DVDs so I could go back and have them

it was the very first anime I saw, it's a rather sad anime but had a nice ending of sorts. after which i was hooked. although technically first anime was DragonBallZ and SailorMoon as a child but I don't really count them. |
Re: First Ever Animes you saw?
Dragonball Z is my first ever anime I watched. Guess I was around 8.It was nice experience to start with.

My first animes were Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, and YuGiOh!. Ah..the good old day
Oh! And Digimon! Can't forget that show |
Re: First Ever Animes you saw?
i could name a list of animes but to name the first would be seriously hard

Re: First Ever Animes you saw?
At the beginning I haven’t had any idea about what is an anime, but one of my friends is a huge fan of anime so he made me watch “Pokemon” for the fist time. Since then I became a decent fan of Japanese anime.

I think the first anime I ever saw was Lupin the 3rd back when it was on adult swim

Re: First Ever Animes you saw?
I have to plead guilty here... Sailor Moon was my very first anime I ever watched when I was a kid...
Even though I understand 100% about the many cuts/edits in the English version, however, that doesn't matter to me, I still like my childhood, and Sailor Moon was part of it. |
Re: First Ever Animes you saw?
Speed Racer, Battle of the Planets, Starblazers and an obscure show called Tranzor Z, which was horribly dubbed, but I remember it well to this day! XD They were all part of a block of what the local station called "Japanese cartoon power block" LOL

Re: First Ever Animes you saw?
The first anime I ever watched was the Hokuto No Ken movie. Was staying with my older brother for a week, he had the entire Manga VHS collection and I decided to watch one while he was out buying food. I was 8 at the time, didn't understand much of what was going on, but the gory blood and punching was awesome.

Re: First Ever Animes you saw?
After school on channel 3 CardCaptor Sakura, and Digimon.
Saturday mornings SMTV Live Pokemon But first anime I watch when I knew it was anime was Naruto :) -Pipp |
Re: First Ever Animes you saw?
Sailor Moon started it all for me, followed by Dragon Ball Z and Pokemon. In that order :D
I remember coming home from school just to watch a episode. I had to set a record timer because they would show while I was in school. lol, I probably still have some of those VHS's in my storage somewhere >.< |
Re: First Ever Animes you saw?
Mine was Digimon, I watched it at my friend’s place. It’s a cool anime to begin with.

Re: First Ever Animes you saw?
I'd have to say Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon were the two. After that DBZ came into my life followed by Pokemon, Digimon and Cardcaptors =3
