Who has made the grade? Who has been left out? Who is that girl in the swimsuit? The real question is who takes #1 Ringo or Shizune? Let’s join EagleEyes as he presents part 2 of his Top 50 anime characters and find out!

EagleEyes Top 50 Anime Characters:
The Top 50 Part 2 – #25 to #1

Before we continue I do apologize for the slightly rushed list. This list has been salvaged from a power surge, a black out, and, just hours before posting, a computer freeze-up. Not the smoothest of starts by any means.

This list is based on personal preference. Any questions or comments in relation to any of the characters that appear are welcome in the comment section below.

—————————————————————————————

#25 – Hina Ichigo

Series: Rozen Maiden

Why they have made the list: Let’s face it, everyone of the dolls (Unlike their human counterparts) in the Rozen Maiden series is likable. Each has their own appeal, but from where I stand Hina Ichigo is on top. She may not be the strongest or most featured, but for my money she is certainly the most entertaining. She is also part of one of the series saddest moments, but you will have to watch to find out.

#24 – Swim Suit Mask

Series: Air Gear

Why they have made the list: THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A SEPERATE CHARACTER AND IS IN NO WAY RINGO NOYAMANO IN A DISGUISE! Now that we have that out of the way, I present you with #24, Swimsuit Mask. Now if you haven’t watched Air Gear by now, shame on you. For those who have watched it, they know exactly why she is here. For those who haven’t go watch it now or you aren’t allowed to keep reading!

#23 – Agito Wanijima

Series: Air Gear

Why they have made the list: Now that you are up to #23, I can safely assume that you have watched Air Gear, so it is time for Agito. The crazed king of the Bloody Road secures his place for being just plain kooky.

#22 – Shino Aburame

Series: Naruto

Why they have made the list: I like bugs…. Is that a crime?

#21 – Kallen Kozuki

Series: Code Geass

Why they have made the list: Joining the few characters I actually like from Code Geass is Kallen. (KILL NUNALLY). Kallen is possibly the only person from Code Geass whose actions are not driven by her own selfishness. (KILL SUZAKU). Combine that with the fact she is one of the 5 characters that do not make me want to drive a screw driver into my eye, I say she is pretty cool. (KILL SHIRLY)!

#20 – Kiri Komori

Series: Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei

Why they have made the list: Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei is one of those series that you have to have a favorite character from, just so you can brag about how awesome that character is. Kiri is the series resident hikikomori, oblivious to the goings on of the outside world. Whether it be in a locker, under a table, or in a bathroom, her appearance is the highlight of an episode.

#19 – Yuki Nagato

Series: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

Why they have made the list: Let’s face it, anyone who watches The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya doesn’t watch it for Haruhi Suzumiya. Mikuru is always popular, Kyon has his fans, and people even like Koizumi. But perhaps the most popular character of them all is Yuki. The thought of my actually liking a popular character makes me feel dirty…. and not the kind of dirty that Leviathan Mist feels when he thinks about her.

#18 – Misa Amane

Series: Death Note

Why they have made the list: For the only main character in the show who wasn’t some form of super genius, she is able to keep up with and even stay ahead of both Kira and L. The fact that a model can outsmart a genius makes me all warm and tingly inside.

#17 – Soi Fon

Series: Bleach

Why they have made the list: Soi Fon enjoys long walks on the beach and stinging her enemies to death. In her spare she can be found in Soul Society not contributing to the plot as Tite Kubo hates women.

#16 – Liz Thompson

Series: Soul Eater

Why they have made the list: My favorite of the Thompson sisters solely for her reactions. I am not sure what it is, but characters that over react to situations amuse me.

#15 – Isara Gunther

Series: Valkyria Chronicles

Why they have made the list: This character is part of the single saddest moment in anime history. It puts Clannad to shame.

#14 – Revy

Series: Black lagoon

Why they have made the list: I just realised if I were to quote anything Revy has ever said I will most likely never be allowed to post again. A sailor’s mouth in the body of a school girl, Revy puts many male characters to shame. With a brash attitude, and a shoot first ask questions never outlook, she has earned her spot at #14.

#13 – Tien Shinhan / Chiaotzu

Series: Dragon Ball Z

Why they have made the list: If you are a human character in Dragon Ball Z, it is your destiny to suck. However Tien and Chiaotzu suck slightly less than all the others. Whereas the others die in a matter of thirty seconds, it takes these two far longer and THEY go out in style. Examples of this are Tien’s Tribeam assault on Cell, and Chiaotzu’s explosive ending.

#12 – Tsumugi Kotobuki

Series: K-ON!

Why they have made the list: Everyone has their own favorite K-On character, there is no real science behind it. Mugi just makes me giggle.

#11 – Mimi Tachikawa

Series: Digimon

Why they have made the list: Mimi is whiny, moody and just plain difficult to get along with and is still the most likable character is all of Digimon. The fact that her partner is also a 20 foot tall cactus with boxing gloves doesn’t hurt either. (And Lilymon, zomg!)

#10 – Leena Tauros

Series: Zoids New Century

Why they have made the list: My main memories of Leena come from a VHS I had as a kid in which I would rewind and watch one seen over and over again. A character by the name of Harry Champ professes his undying love for her, only for her to turn around and launch a barrage of missile at him for standing her up on a date the episode prior. Now what did we learn? Never trust a girl piloting a giant robotic dinosaur with missile launchers.

#9 – Jessie / James “Team Rocket”

Series: Pokemon

Why they have made the list: Ask someone who has never sat down and watched an anime who these people are they could tell you, “Those guys from Pokémon.” Team Rocket, at least in my book, is the greatest comedic antagonist duo ever created. Even if you haven’t watched the show in year, I bet you can still say their motto word for word.

#8 – Kisame Hoshigaki

Series: Naruto

Why they have made the list: Unlike the rest of the Akatsuki who wear nail polish and have long girly hair, Kisame wears nail polish, has long girly hair, and owns a sword! I mean seriously, his sword shaves off people’s flesh, that is like cool and stuff….

#7 – Mashiro Kuna

Series: Bleach

Why they have made the list: MASHIRO KICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#6 – Shenhua

Series: Black Lagoon

Why they have made the list: Whilst not my favorite character from the show, Shenhua IS the reason you should watch Black lagoon. Words cannot do justice how amusing this character is and how she interacts with those around her. Her voice actress absolutely smashes this performance as the Taiwanese beauty, her broken English making even the most tense situation comedic. If you haven’t gotten the idea already, go watch Black Lagoon now!

#5 – Mai Valentine

Series: Yu-Gi-Oh!

Why they have made the list: It is hard to watch the original Yu-Gi-Oh! now after growing so accustomed the Little Kuriboh’s character voices, but the one character that blows his out of the water in every aspect, is Mai Valentine. Megan Hollingshead’s portrayal of the ever confident Valentine fits so well that words can’t really describe it. Little things such as snarls and reactions, and even her own dialogue, personify arrogance, but it is done in a way that is likable and charming. Also, the fact that Mai is the ONLY character in that show that isn’t possessed or trained by some evil ancient spirit puts her in top billing.

#4 – Misty

Series: Pokemon

Why they have made the list: Nostalgia time. The Cerulean gym leader finds her way in at number 4 mostly for the characters impact on my childhood, but also partially out of guilt that she never did receive her new bike. The original trio of Pokémon had such a good chemistry together that could never truly be replicated, thus it hasn’t been the same since Misty’s departure from the group.

#3 – Lotton The Wizard

Series: Black Lagoon

Why they have made the list:” I am here to take your life! But who you ask is the specter that stands before you? The name is Wizard, Lotton the Wizard and while I bare no grudge against you!” When Lotton is first introduced, quite honestly, he doesn’t seem all that special, that is until his first fight scene. When he appears to combat the protagonist, we learn that he may very well be the single most egocentric character ever created. He may not be a very good fighter but wins #3 for personality.

Tied #1 – Ringo “Crazy Apple” Noyamano

Series: Air Gear

Why they have made the list: Ahhh Ringo, the apple of my eye. Miss Noyamano has quickly become one of my favorite characters, with her quirkiness and charm catapulting her above the rest. When I first purchased Air Gear, I had no idea what the series was about, nor did I have any idea the lasting effect the characters would have. Whilst Ringo plays the role of the girl hopelessly in love with the protagonist, a role hated by many, she redefines the character type. Whilst her hopeless crush is a running gag of the series, she does not restrict herself to the role, actually outperforming the protagonist anytime the two ride together. Ringo even goes as far as to physically attack both her love interest, as well as his team mates, during the series…now that is true love!

Not only that, but she hates Simca and let’s face it who doesn’t hate that pink haired poser?

Tied #1 – Shizune

Series: Naruto

Why they have made the list: The reason so many Naruto characters have made this list is because it was the series that got me heavily into anime. This is the character, however, that made me love the series. When Naruto went off to learn the Rasengan, you knew something awesome was going to happen, just not that that something was a girl holding a pig.

With a familiar voice, and drastic over reactions, her proclamation of “Ayyieeeeeeee” made the character stand out for me, but it wasn’t until her first and only fight scene that she really began to shine. She dropped her comedic persona and started dishing out throat stabbings.

Good evening to all those in the land of 91.8 The Fan. EagleEyes here, bringing you another dose of the Bi-wEEkly Round Table. This week we discuss dubs, cosplay, villains and POKEMON, oh my. So check out EagleEyes’ Round Table, and have your voice heard.

wEEkly award – wEEk 3:
That Time of the Month Award

Manga that are released monthly - Maybe it’s because I am impatient and need a higher dose of Black Lagoon. But waiting so long for releases makes me depressed. And when you look at how long it can take, you would be too.

Part 1) Manga produced in japan – One release every month is just not good enough.
Part 2) The Manga awaits so many releases before an English version is released – Meaning it’s about a year and a half until it’s release over here.
Part 3) An Anime based on manga is produced – We are about 2 and a half years after the manga now.
Part 4) Anime is dubbed in English – And three years later the final product is here.
End result) EagleEyes waits for three years and is a sad panda. So take this award monthly Manga artists. I hope you are happy that you make me cry myself to sleep T.T

—————————————————————————————

Now for the Round Table rules: As usual each participant is given 6 questions covering various aspects in anime, manga and Japanese culture. Each individual then has to provide their opinion on the said issue. Finally I mix them together and simmer on low heat and the Round Table is born.

Our Participants today are:

LiteSpeed - Must be illegal

Drago - Still awaiting a wall scroll

Amui - Always around

Camajak - Like Yugi but different

Sogeking - Is Sailing In

Oni - The other Australian

Bonediddly - In the house

Which anime is in need of an English dub and American release? What is your reasoning for this?

• LiteSpeed - Starting out with an interesting one. There are 3 potential anime I can think of, amusingly all series that I happen to be watching. They are Heroman, Durarara, and K-On.
Heroman is set in America and it’s made by Stan Lee, what more can I say? A dub would be awesome.
Durarara – is probably one of the best anime I’ve seen recently with a really interesting storyline and a fantastic group of characters. Aside from which, Bacanno! has been dubbed, so why not Durarara? (Also, would it not be great to hear that name in English? x3)
Finally, K-On, the monstrous anime that’s pretty much taken over Japan with it’s moe-ness. There’s some great music in there, and seeing as I love BECK so much, I think K-On could be pretty interesting.

• Drago - I can’t choose any anime to be dubbed because I, for one, am not a fan of dubbed anim,e the one and only anime that I would say was an ok dub would have to have been hellsing.

• Amui - Gintama, holy carpet monkeys, Gintama please, it’s already such a huge and popular series that’s bound to do well in the States, but I’ve yet to see a dub.

• Camajak - Well, I would say Shugo Chara. Every other anime that isn’t dubbed yet that I’m a fan of is either being dubbed, or has plans to be dubbed. But, Shugo Chara is absolutely adorable, and I think it deserves a nice lil’ American Release.

• Sogeking - I would have to choose Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei. From watching the subs of it, I didn’t even realize they had never dubbed it over here, most likely because of having a suicidal teacher and heavy references to Japanese culture…naming a few. I liked it and was able to enjoy the story very well *The openings are very unique =D* I think they could dub it and keep a lot of the references since it would most likely be bought by people who have a better understanding of Japanese culture than most. I’ll definitely buy the box set when it finally comes out.

• Oni - Hm, I would have to say that the anime “Lovely Complex” needs an English dub and American release. Why? It’s a great amateur romance that’s also pretty wacky. More or less, it’s already a well established series, so I’m sure it would be well received…as long as Viz Media doesn’t pick it up and release it like they did NANA. -shudders-

• Bonediddly - I have no real answer for this. I’m not a big fan of dubs, and almost every series I’ve watched already has one. Next question.

Which anime character do you believe has the best suited character voice? Not necessarily your favorite character or the best voice performance, but which voice defines the character themselves.

• LiteSpeed - Edward Elric. The first anime I bought on DVD and started to watch, Vic Mignogna really kept me watching with his portrayal of Ed. He made that character oh so very lifelike. Plus got me into voice acting, so that’s got to mean something.

• Drago - I would have to split my vote between two anime characters voices, and that would be Hellsing, and the other would have to be the Butler from Black Butler.

• Amui - Edward Elric, a voice that defines going from innocence to chaos in the blink of an eye.

• Camajak - I would say just about anyone in the Death Note series. Most notably, L. His quick, witty talk definitely fits his character. In both Japanese AND English, it fit, which made it amazing.

• Sogeking - Brook from One Piece. That voice really fits well for him. From his great singing to how polite he is, even when he is trying to get a peek at someone’s panties. That skeleton has a great set of lungs.

• Oni - Rika Furude from “When the Cicadas Cry” (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni), in both the English and Japanese dub’s. Rika has two voices, essentially, her cutsey girly voice, and her mature, wise, scary voice. The American dub may have been a tiny bit lacking on the cutsey area, but my oh me, great job on the mature voice.
Her voice just fits so perfectly, especially when you think about how she is able to contrast two personalities with two voices so well (anyone familiar with the characters knows where I’m coming from there, nipah~). It definitely defines her characters and is probably one of her most memorable aspects (well…other than the whole neck stabbing thing).

• Bonediddly - I’m going to go with Vash. I’m not a fan of Bosch(or dubs) but he really nailed this one. Whether goofy or serious his voice just exemplifies everything that is the insanity known as Vash the Stampede.

If you were to cosplay any character who would it be and what series would it be from? (Keep in mind you aren’t paying for this costume, so go wild)

• LiteSpeed - I think I could pull of Snow Villiers from good old Final Fantasy XIII pretty well. If I forget to shave, I think I develop a Snow-like appearance. All I’d need is the hair, and the bandana…and the coat. And so on and so forth.

• Drago - If i could cosplay as any Character I would definitely do a Kyou Kara Maou Yuuri cosplay but not his normal one, the one when he is in Maou Mode.

• Amui - Gintoki from Gintama, his outfit is just so simple yet appealing.

• Camajak - Oh wow, let’s see… I bet I would go for Mikuru from the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Or maybe Arancar Orihime? There’s so many possibilities. No. Wait. Scratch all of that. I would love Konoka Konoe from Negima! Magister Negi Magi. She has such beautiful, elaborate costumes, which are just amazing. Yeah, I would have to go with Konoka!

• Sogeking - Honestly, I would really like to cosplay as Sogeking from One Piece. I know it’s not the wildest cosplay I could do but I would have it made really well and put a lot of work into making a nice solid mask and not look so papier mache. It would also be my first real cosplay. I have never went to a convention and cosplayed before, but I have really wanted to do it, I wanted to do it when I was in better shape. Normally I told my friends that I didn’t want to be the heavier set anime character that gets displayed on a fail poster.

• Oni - Abel Nightroad from Trinity Blood. He’s just…so perfect. Plus, he wears glasses, and so do I…it makes it easier on the eyes.

• Bonediddly - Makato Shishio. Best waste of medical supplies ever.

Over the years Team Rocket have failed to steal Pikachu, what would be your evil scheme to capture the yellow rodent?

• LiteSpeed - Horse tranquillizer and a Pokéball. That is all.

• Drago - I would use a gun shoot ash in the forehead and then use a hypno to use hypnosis on the yellow rodent.

• Amui -
1. Use half nekkid Camajak as a distraction for Ash, he must be like 15 by now?
2. Steal der Pikachu!
3. ????
4. PROFIT!!!

• Camajak - But I can’t be mean to that little yellow rodent…! ;__;

• Sogeking - Well here’s my plan. I would seek out Jigglypuff, where ever she went off to, and have her sing to Ash and the gang. Once they are asleep. I would take Pikachu and put him in special insulated box that would be so small, Pikachu couldn’t use Iron Tail either. I would keep Jigglypuff that to keep singing until I was regions away from them, leaving no trail to find me. After that, I guess I go give it to Giovanni or something and let him use it for whatever task he wants it for.

• Oni - A giant mousetrap vehicle that had tons of berries and Poke-blocks as a trap. Oh, and it’d be immune to electricity. Has that been done before…probably.

• Bonediddly - Shoot the kid and tranquilize the rat. This isn’t rocket science.

Who is your favorite villain in anime history? Are they the embodiment of all evil or a mere pest?

• LiteSpeed - Another tough one – curse you, Eagle Eyed child! This is between Dante from FMA and Lelouch from Code Geass. Ok, I know Lelouch isn’t really a villain, but he could be. He doesn’t care for ANYONE! Well, other than his sister, but still. As for Dante, she’s a cruel manipulative old witch but a very well written one despite how much I hated her xD

• Drago - I don’t have a favorite villain, I never usually payed attention to the villains.

• Amui - Makoto Shishio from Rurouni Kenshin, this dude was so bad his own guys were ordered to betray him and light him on fire, but that just wasn’t enough for ol’ Shishio since he decided to come back and take over the entire freakin’ government.

• Camajak -I would say Akito from Fruits Basket. Though he/she is more of just a general antagonist, He/She gives an obstacle for all the characters to overcome, and creates goals for them to reach. He/She makes the plot, too, and has a major influence over everything that happens in the series.

• Sogeking - When it comes to villains, I’m just a sucker for the One Wing Angel himself, Sephiroth. The lone angel wing and very long sword, coupled with almost destroying the world are just great traits for a truly evil villain.

• Oni - I’m not exactly into anime that house “villains”…but if I had to pick someone, I would go with the NHK from ‘Welcome to The NHK’. While technically a fabricated villain, the NHK is played out so well that you’re always thinking “You’re such an idiot Satou (main character), it’s not there…oh, kick its ??? anyway! It’s all a conspiracy”. For those of you out there not familiar with Japanese broadcasting channels, the NHK is the ‘Japanese Broadcasting Station’.

• Bonediddly - The previously mentioned Makato Shishio. When your only motivation is to create chaos it’s hard not to be a badass villain. Not hesitating to stab his most loyal companion to get one in on his enemy, and still charismatically wielding the loyalty of his minions, nothing is quite beyond this mummy… even conquering hell (I thinking I’m kinda leaning towards “embodiment of all evil”).

Anime of the day – BLACK Butler – What are your thoughts on the series? Have you seen it? Have you heard of it? After a quick Wikipedia search does it look interesting?

• LiteSpeed - Ok, now I heard talk about this series on the IRC the other day. However, I haven’t seen it nor know all that much about it. Lemme see…. *opens Wikipedia* Now then… the plot summary sounds pretty interesting. It’s set in London for crying out loud, don’t they know anime is banned there! Certainly looks like one to check out at some point.

• Drago - I have watched through the entire Black Butler Series and yes it has some very close similarities with Hellsing but it has its own comedy and I would Advise anyone that loves a dark but funny anime to watch at least a few episodes and anyone who was a fan of Hellsing should also watch it.

• Amui - I’ve heard of it before but do not plan to see it, just not really my cup of tea.

• Camajak - Why, yes, I have heard of Black Butler. A good friend of mine is big into the series, I just haven’t gotten around to watching the anime or reading the manga. I don’t know much about it, but I think it looks decently interesting, and very entertaining! Eventually, I will pick it up, and I bet I will love it.

• Sogeking - I have never seen Black Butler and I think the only time I have heard of it was seeing someone list it under something they have read or watched…not sure which. After a quick read on Wikipedia, it’s plot seems a little lacking and from watching a few clips of it on Youtube, I really didn’t find anything to draw me in. The one thing that I did see was that the property is spread across lots of mediums and even has a musical. I think I will watch it properly and hopefully these problems plaguing England will be solved in some cool…I mean they have to be since he has demon powers, I don’t see what could go wrong there

• Oni - Yes, I have heard about it. A lot of people seem to be flocking to it, specially at the last convention I went to. Sadly, I have not seen it before…because I didn’t know that was the exact name of the anime. Tee hee.
It definitely does look interesting, but it looks a tad same-y? The opposite to Hell Girl (Jigoku Shoujo) in the means of character gender, but the plot looks to be loosely similar, too. I may look into watching it, as it seems a sequel has been announced.

• Bonediddly - *one quick Wikipedia search later*
With a good charismatic lead, that sounds like it could be amazing. *adds to list*

—————————————————————————————

And so ends our journey today If you would like to ask a question for a future round table, or possibly answer some questions yourself, leave a comment bellow, or send me a message on the forums right here at 91.8 The Fan.

Until next time, EagleEyes out.

Greetings to all those in the land of 918 The Fan. EagleEyes here, starting off the first Round table of 2010. What are you going to be getting, you may ask? A little bit of this. A little bit of that. AND A WHOLE LOT OF FANATIC INTERACTION. If you have an opinion, if you want your voice heard, this is for you.

Weekly award – Week 1:
Epic Fail Award

Sakura Haruno - As of the latest Naruto release, it is apparent Masashi Kishimoto either:
a) hates women, or
b) hates Sakura.

Either way, she remains completely useless almost 500 chapters into the series, with no signs of EVER doing anything of importance. Will this pink haired konoichi ever get her chance to truly shine? I mean you can only dramatically cut your hair in a forest so many times…..

Now for the Round Table rules: Each participant is given 6 questions, covering various aspects in Anime, Manga, and Japanese culture. Each participant then has to answer, within the best of their abilities, without seeing what the others have written. Then I combine the answers with love and kindness, and thus a round table is born.

Our participants today are:
Oni -Anime Reviewer
Ace8489 -Forum Moderator
Yugiboy360 - DJ
Chris - Canadian

Rebel 1) What Anime series are you watching currently, or are planning to watch in the future? What are your thoughts on it so far?

Oni: I’m currently watching the Anime, Skip Beat, a romantic comedy. So far it seems to have me pretty drawn in, due to the fact that it doesn’t seem to follow the norm. The main character, Kyouko, is a unique specimen. Unlike a lot of characters who would probably blame their successes on themselves, even if pure coincidence, she actually recognizes when her success is not her doing. She’s bettering herself and not playing the stereotype, which I thoroughly like. The story seems to know just how much to tell, even knowing at times that a certain situation should stay the way it is and not be transformed into a comedic moment for the sake of it being a comedy (it can be serious, in other words).
I quite like it, most definitely picking up the Manga.

Ace: The anime that I am currently watching is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. So far it is really good but I’m waiting for it to diverge for the original Fullmetal Alchemist, an Anime I want to see in the future would have to be the Trigun movie, Trigun Badlands Rumble. The series was really great so I have high hopes for the movie. I hope they get the same voice actors.

Yugi: Well there are actually several that I’m currently watching. They would be Slap-up Party, Arad Senki, Yugioh 5D’s, Excel Saga, One Piece, Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad, and Destiny of the Shrine Maiden. I am also currently re-watching Ouran High School Host Club, and Angelic Layer. I am also planning on eventually watching Black Lagoon, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Chris: I’m currently watching Full Metal Alchemist which is an amazing series, and hoping to watch Hellsing, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, K-On among others in the future.

Rebel 2) What is your favorite Anime theme (beginning or ending), what series is it from, and what makes it better than any other in your opinion?

Oni: Hm, that’s a toughie. There are a few. Since you’re specifying the theme itself, and not the opening, I guess I’ll have to go with a tie between Pastel Pure from The Virgin Mary is Watching Over You (Maria-sama ga Miteru), and Last Regrets from Kanon 2006.
Both are very relaxing, however Last Regrets has a more dominant feel, whereas Pastel Pure feels much more flowey…if you can call that a description. I just think they’re very calming.
Pastel Pure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7yEt6UvQxk
Last Regrets: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkmHmKYtQb4

Ace: My favorite Anime theme would have to be the opening of Saiyuki For Real. I like it because Saiyuki is one of my favorite Animes, and I watched it so much that I learned the lyrics to it. It was also a really good opening, too.

Yugi: I know it sounds kinda weird and very out dated, but honestly, I think I would have to go with The English Shaman King Opening. I just liked the lyrics, it was always something that seemed somewhat interesting behind the lyrics. Another close call would be the ending theme to Excel Saga. One of the things that made me fall in love with that ending is who wouldn’t love a cute, singing dog singing about not wanting to be eating. It’s just so cute and funny at the same time.

Chris: Too many to even name! The few that come to mind are the first two openings for Naruto: Shippuden (Hero’s comeback, Bluebird) and in terms of endings, the second ending for Full Metal Alchemist.

Rebel 3) Is there an Anime series out there that you can’t stand, that you hate with a passion? A series you despise so much you would travel back in time to track down the original Manga sketches and burn them so that it never existed? If so what series is it and what is it about the series that annoys you?

Oni: Green Green would be an anime I can’t stand. Everything about it annoys me, it’s just that simple.

Ace: I have two Animes that I really hate. One is Excel Saga, I hate it so much. I hate it because it has no point and most of the people in it just annoy me. I’m not totally sure why other than that. The other Anime is Bobobo-bo bo-bobo, for the same reason I hate Exal Saga.

Yugi: I don’t really have a series like that, that I can think of. However, if I could go back in time and get rid f a company from ever being thought of, I would butcher whoever decided to start 4kids and their Anime butchering Service.

Chris: Not really. There hasn’t been a series I’ve disliked that much, although I was never a fan of One Piece.

Rebel 4) What interviews from Kana’s Korner have you enjoyed most? And who is the one person you would love to see Interviewed in the future?

Oni: Who says I watch any…nah, just kidding. It’d probably be the interview with KRROOOZZZEEE! I’d like to see the creator of Mega Man Abridged, Zero Master, interviewed. I’d also like to see the popular Youtube Let’s Player ‘Chuggaconroy’ be interviewed.

Ace: I liked the Vic Mignogna , Crispin Freeman and Takahata the most. I would like to see Greg Ayres be interviewed.

Yugi: Well I really enjoyed the interview with Little Kuriboh, actually, if not for him I would have never heard of the fan and met the great people I have. I enjoyed most of the ones that I could actually make, it’s just fun to listen to what each guest has to say about what they do. People that I would like to see in the future. Hmmm…I would defiantly have to say Felicia Day.

Chris: I really enjoy most of the interviews, two that really stick out in my mind are the Liam O’Brien interview and the Michelle Ruff interview.

Rebel 5) If you could select one older series to be remade (keeping the same characters and story but with newer animation and remastered audio) what would it be and why?

Oni: One older series eh?…Probably Infinite Ryvius. Yeah, it’s a 90’s series, however the animation could use a bit of work and the audio was awesome. Why would I want this? Well, it’s a great Anime and I’d like for more people to experience it.
Ranma ½ would also be a good choice too.

Ace: I think I would have to choose Dragon Ball Z or Akira. They are Anime classics, so to see them with updated animation and audio would be really cool. The animation wasn’t very good when it was made so I think it would benefit from it a lot and make me want to watch it even more.

Yugi: Hmmmm thats a toughy. I think I would possibly have to say MedaBots, I loved that show and it great but the animation could have been better. I think the action scenes could be one hundred times better than when it was first made.

Chris: If it wasn’t already happening, I would have said Dragon Ball Z, but the original Digimon series is something I would love to see re-done. Simply because it’s a series that I grew up with, and that really got me into Anime, and I think the kids today should experience it! Without any of that 5th season stuff, which didn’t even feel like Digimon.

Rebel 6) Who is your favorite Anime character of all time? OF ALL TIME? Why is this character different to any other, and what makes them stand above the others?

Oni: Of all time…is it safe to say Evangeline A.K. McDowell from Negima!? (By which I mean, Negima!). She’s an awesome loli vampire who’s been around for many hundreds of years. She’s clearly a power house and can even take out gods at will. Her only downfall is that she is locked to the Mahora Academy area, so she doesn’t get my panel-time outside of chapter that take place at Mahora.
She’s extremely well mannered, feisty, wise and loli-tastic. For an added plus, her best friend is a freaking robot. A robot! Did I mention she is the sole reason why the main character, Negi, is as strong as he is now thanks to her?
Yep, she’s gotta be my favourite.

Ace: My favourite character of all time would have to me Son Goku from Saiyuki. I like he because he is one of the funniest characters out of the Anime that I have seen. He just seems different from most Anime. I also would have to say Kazuki Muto from Buso Renkin. He is the most inspiring character of any Manga I have ever read, in a word he is awesome. He takes being a shonen character to the next level.

Yugi: Hmmm….I’m not sure who my fave of all time is…I think I might have to say Ohjiro or Icchan from Angelic Layer because “ICCHAN GO BOOM.”

Chris: If it’s not apparent by now, one of my favorite characters is Fai D. Flourite from Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle. Besides Fai, I’m also a huge fan of Light Yagami (Death Note), Shikamaru Nara (Naruto), Kakashi Hatake (Naruto), and Suzaku Kururugi (Code Geass)

And so ends our journey today If you would like to ask a question for a future round table, or possibly answer some questions yourself leave a comment bellow, or send me a message on the forums right here at 91.8 The Fan.
