Holiday Traditions

Hey, all! Happy holidays!

Here we are, amidst the commercial chaos and aromatic smells wafting from the kitchen.

To brighten up this place with a little cheer and warmth, how about we share some of our favorite holiday traditions, whether it be a special meal, a trip, movies or anything our nutty families do every year!

We start every holiday season by decorating our aluminum "EverGleam" tree and watching the 1993 Steve Martin movie, Mixed Nuts. Then we all giggle at my father's expense when he hauls the big timber (mom loves her Douglas Firs) into the house, cursing enough to put a sailor to shame. Its the little things, really.

I and the rest of the 91.8 team hope you have a warm, safe and wonderful holiday season and we'll see you in the new year!

My mom used to read "'Twas The Night Before Christmas" to the family every year on Christmas Eve. The family isn't together anymore though :/

Dare I ask, what is "dirty santa"?

We generally all get together at one point to watch the Muppet Christmas Carol. We also have a dead tradition where every day we would light a candle known as "The Candle of Our Christmas Anticipation".

We've recently these past few years had the cousins over to watch ELF.

My wife is Filipina, so our big family tradition is a huge feast of native Filipino foods on Christmas Eve. Seems like over there they have the family meal the night before, but there's always plenty left over for Christmas day. . .

On Nerdmas Eve I go somewhere (it depends on the year) to see my dad's side of the family. Then on Nerdmas Day I go and eat dinner with my mom's close family. I get Nerdmas presents, and its awesome.
