Indeed, I was pretty sure they were 17 for most part, but I guess it does depend on your rules and customs considering where you are from.

Actually it probably would be bad, I love Lucky Star and all, but the sketch comedy of it really doesn't lend itself to making a good movie.

Out of the series mentioned so far, the only one I can even begin to imagine as watchable live action would be Hell Girl. But the whole reason I first became interested in anime was specifically because it is NOT live action. If I wanted to watch live action movies with cartoonish effects and storylines, I'd be a fan of The Arnold (both the actor and the governor).

Like all anime that focus on school, they went up a year exactly half way through.

And the age of consent in Japan is anywhere from 13 to 18. Federal law states it to be 13, prefectures can override this if they wish.

I personally dont think animes would be good live-action movies but who knows. Maybe they would be good. Theres this cartoon/anime show called Ben10 i dont like it that much but they made a live-action movie and it SUCKED! :P

But seriously, they've made several video games from the series, there's a spinoff manga series, and several OAVs -- and the show is almost 20 years old. They might as well make a live-action movie at this point. (I'll play Nuriko *___*).

also not sure if anyone knows but they announced this year that a bleach movie was in the works at warner bros i believe and they are also suppose to be remaking theyre own version of the death note movies, and also a macross movie has been in the works for awhile but no one ever talks about it same with neon genesis evangelion and no one has'nt talked about that since long before ADV went under. and sorry if i'm sayin stuff you guys already knew just thought I'd say it incase you didn't
