With our newly updates streams, we need some newly updated guides, with newly added awesomeness that doesn't require you to download any apps that show you commercials every 5 minutes. #hurr

Step 1
Open Safari and create a new page, don't use an existing page, this is important for a step later.

Just a question because I'm curious: Can you set custom icons when you do this, "add to home screen" bit, or are you just stuck with whatever it is that it gives you?

I'm not sure. You probably could if you JailBroke your phone. But *Apple* advises against that, because *Apple* doesn't like you to be able to do what you want with the things you buy.

Oh well, I guess that's just their company's prerogative.

That's the heavy stream. The lite stream is http://radio.918thefan.com/listen

is there an m3u I can use on my iphone with the lite stream?

the heavy stream works okay over data, but I have to refresh a lot, and it's probably not safe even with a 6GB data plan.

No, the only stream type that produces a .m3u file is the Icecast (which is the heavy. We use Shoutcast 2 and Shoutcast 1 for the standard and lite streams respectively. They only output as a .pls file.

So there's probably a 3rd party shoutcast app I'd have to use that would spam ads at me?

I wouldn't know. I own a BlackBerry and can listen with the .m3u or .pls files personally. There's other threads where people list their favorite third party devices that they like to use to listen. Most people I know listen directly with the stream, but I would advise you to never pay for an app that offers our stream. Our station is completely free and we have never been asked to be included in any third party app besides TuneIn (http://tunein.com/mobile/ios/).
