I've actually thought about this a couple times before. I know popular animes usually come to mind like Naruto, and I would sometimes think about Gundam. But if you think about it, those are pretty messed up world that force kids to fight and kill each other.

Therefore the conclusion I've come to for myself is that Pokemon is really best world to live in. Aside from a few megalomaniacs they've seemed to have achieved world peace, and who wouldn't want the freedom to travel the world on their own right?

Other than that Yu-Gi-Oh GX, because you get to go to a prestigious boarding school to learn how to play a trading card game.

I wouldn't mind just being a random background character in those worlds. I sure wouldn't want to be Ash (or Satoshi, if you want) in Pokemon because I'd have to fight off Team Rocket basically everyday.

For the rest of my life? Jin, from Samurai Champloo. I admire his skill, understand his personal code, and am generally fascinated with setting. But as a close second choice, I'd become Jose Croce of Gunslinger Girl and help Henrietta and the girls escape the Social Welfare Agency. Finding them a normal life might be an unrealistic stretch, but surely I could at least spare them the anguish of being required to kill.

The choices the choices Hiei (YYH) is jut such a beast, but Tenchi has all the girls, as do a few other characters that I would probable change the way they acted if I were them.
