For those who have yet to notice, I added earlier a volunteer section to the site. You can find it under the About, in the subcategory entitled Join Us. A direct link to the page is here: http://918thefan.com/about/volunteer/
If you have any questions concerning the application process then please ask so here. We will do our best to respond, and please read over all the pages properly. We ask that people submit serious inquiries only as we think of our work at 91.8 The Fan as a job... a very anime induced job full of fun and unicorns. Enjoy!

–noun
1. a person who voluntarily offers himself or herself for a service or undertaking.
2. a person who performs a service willingly and without pay.
Though it should be noted that doesn't mean this can't change in the future depending on our growth or how well a person does. #darling

After reading the "Join Us" page there are various help wanted ads that say what we're looking for. You have to fall under one of these categories.

i wanna help but i dont think i fall under any of those catagories
I heard about this on the magical radio and thought I'd check it out!
Although I'm not positive-- with my living situation that I could commit to a constant -one shift per week time slot- things could always change for the better, right?
I've done some volunteer stuff for local radio stations so at the very least I know how the format is supposed to work. XD
I'll apply and send a demo sometime soon.

I will love to apply but the times that are open are a little bit of a bother, I'll have a word with the family to see if they can put up with me being up at 4am lol

I am interested in applying but I have a question! It seems that for a resume I must post a URL to a site where you can view it. What is the best way to do this? Can you view a resume on a job site like Monster or Career Builder? Should I put my resume in a one of those sites where you can download files and give you a link to it? Can I just e-mail it directly to someone?

Being here help more than you know ^_^
As for any technical questions I will leave that to Kana or Kibs to answer.
you could probably just attach a .doc or .txt file. I would assume you don't need anything fancy unless you're applying for an art position, then maybe a pdf or png would be better.

You can upload a .doc .txt or whatever other format to MediaFire, MegaUpload, etc. If you're alright with putting it on Monster or Career Builder than this method would also work. If you're worried about this information being public then send it over to volunteer at this 918thefan.com domain. Obviously put the two pieces together, don't want the e-mail to get picked up by spam.
Important Note!
For anyone who has sent us a volunteer application in the last few days via our form, we have not received it! Apparently our contact form was giving successfully sent notifications, but we have received nothing. Please re-send all the information asked for at volunteer at the domain 918thefan.com Thank you!

Hey; I send an application about two weeks ago! I sent it via e-mail since the webform was down at the time. I would like to know about it's status. Did you get it?

We did get it, Kibs has been away at a convention so we've been unable to talk about any applications. We always go over applications on Saturday at around 11 AM PST (yeah, it's a scheduled thing). Kibs and myself decide on everything mutually, so we both need to be around to confirm this sort of thing. Hang tight!

I don't think I would be able to help out much, frankly because I keep disappearing here and there from 918 the Fan. Plus I don't think my art skill would qualify to the standards of the site.

I sent an application online on January 14, 2017. Did you got it? Backlog. My other question is that: Will a background check will be needed for the position? No.
