I'm new! *shuffles feet* Hi?

Really though, I'm from Far North Queensland, Australia and am a pretty recent listener to the station (I'd actually love to have a shot at DJing, but that's a different subject).

I grew up watching anime (Kimba being the first when I was a midget of thing, if I remember right) and my geekdom has simply expanded to encompass a whole lot of things as time has gone on, including manga, video games, abridges, J-music, VNs and the likes, to name a few.

I'm currently working part-time and studying a BLang part time, majoring in Japanese, with a lovely study-abroad on the horizon! \o,o/

よろしくね! #heartwink

The kangaroos are awesome. It's great when they jump in front of my car when I'm driving to work. lol

Thanks for the welcome! :)

Well-met and welcome! (Might have been born Australian myself had not my forebears been so fleet of foot--when the Great Rebellion of '98 failed, we managed to flee to America before we could be shipped to Australia. . .)

Well then, with the power vested in me by my birth certificate and my proximity to the mob of roos that are no doubt bounding across the red plains of central Australia, I hereby dub thee an honorary Australian by the multiverse theory!

lol

I'm actually only second generation born-Australia anyway. My grandparents on my mum's side immigrated here from Denmark back in the late 50s, and my dad was born in England and immigrated with his parents while he was still a baby.

Hmm... does that make me first gen or second gen? #shockzune

OR... Generation 1.5. #pika

"1.5" has a definite ring to it! Back when I worked for FedEx, we had a group of Aussie aircraft engineers from Christchurch, I think, who showed up every few months for some particular job (never knew quite what). Nice folks.
