What Animes would you like to see as a Live Action Movie??

I'm quite interested to find out. Since I've been talking with a friend about this.

I really can't think of any at the moment i would like to see live action, but i'm sure i will soon. :sigh:

But anyways, your ideas??

Personally, many of the anime we like, would probably be unable good live actions movies. One Piece for example, could you imagine that live action, without it be completely butchered?

However, some Animes that I do believe could make it would be more of the slice of life and "realistic." animes. Some examples are.

Detective Conan.
Bartender
Ouran Host Club (Fox News would have a field day)
Mobile Suit Gundam (If Transformers was indication.)
MAYBE Bleach. (Out of the "Shonen 3" it is probably the most able to be adapted faithfully)
Death Note

Those are just a few that I think would be able to remain faithful to their manga/anime counterparts, but still look good with a hollywood budget.

Live action can be hit or miss. I liked the death note live action movies, I thought they were pretty good (not masterpieces, but still very watchable).

Personally I'd like to see an AD Police, Macross, Gasaraki or Detonator Orgun movie.

True..but if you look at Eva..and the use of prepubescent children, and the fact that the ending makes no sense. I don't think western audiences would take it well.

The ending made perfect sense, but that depends if you count each ending separately or them all as a whole: 25 and 26 being what happens within Shinji's mind, and the End of Evangelion being what is happen physically on the outside world (because they match up pretty well).

I'd personally like to see Hell Girl be brought to the big screen in Live Action form (no, I don't mean that LA series that aired on TV).

I think Natsume Yuujinchou may do well as a Live Action. It's light hearted and has a simple plot, although it may need some cgi :S The outfits for the spirits would be awesome :D

I think it really depends on who you give the directing too and how they feel about it.

Good graphics are a win too. Having a company like Weta do the graphics for say a Gundam movie I think would do just fine.

MSG got one, called G-Saviour for it's 20th aniversary, alright for a movie movie, but as a gundam movie it was terrible, barely any action, Tomino him self denounced it and never wants part in a live action gundam any more.

Like all anime that focus on school, they went up a year exactly half way through.

And the age of consent in Japan is anywhere from 13 to 18. Federal law states it to be 13, prefectures can override this if they wish.

also not sure if anyone knows but they announced this year that a bleach movie was in the works at warner bros i believe and they are also suppose to be remaking theyre own version of the death note movies, and also a macross movie has been in the works for awhile but no one ever talks about it same with neon genesis evangelion and no one has'nt talked about that since long before ADV went under. and sorry if i'm sayin stuff you guys already knew just thought I'd say it incase you didn't
