Valkyria Chronicles 2

I've been playing Valkyria Chronicles recently and I was excited to hear about a sequel. However, I came across some disappointing news, which seems to be the trend lately in the video gaming industry.

I haven't finished the original game yet, but I'm really enjoying the story and am at a loss as to why they would ruin such a promising franchise this way.

The release on the PSP proves it was already in production, but the sales of the original didn't back the costs.

Popularity has once again caused a great series to go to a system that it wasn't meant to be on.

The fact that it's a PSP release didn't bother me too much, since I prefer strategy games to be on handhelds, like Fire Emblem. Though I would've preferred a proper sequel on the PS3 like most other fans.

I'm still going to buy it, but I'll be honest. I'm insanely disappointed, but I still want it. It's a little worrisome the direction the series is going just to get the female audience involved. Oh well... we'll see.
