Pretty clear subject.

You are enjoying an anime...getting into the story, characters, etc...and then the last episode pulls the rug out from under you with it's ridiculously simple and rather abrupt ending.

What anime has made you gawk at the screen and then want to punch a hole through it because of how it ended?

Most recently for me, it HAS to be Sasameki Koto (http://www.crunchyroll.com/sasameki-koto)

Let me start by saying, this was a VERY atypical anime for me to watch. I had my doubts going into it. But it managed to completely rivet my attention after the first few episodes. Which is why it pissed me off even more with the way it ended!! XD

Definitely a yuri anime. But, it was very tastefully done. No in-your-face fan service type of method used.

Not sure if I should say why (other than to prevent you from flipping a table at the end)...but let's just say it had such a heartfelt story and the character stories were very well made. You were rooting for Sumika and Ushio...and then the last episode....literally up until the last few minutes they HAD you on an all out feels-fest! And then BLAM! The end completely destroyed all of the things the creators had built throughout the series.

Did not expect to as mad as I did. I surprised myself, I guess, with how much I had been enjoying that series up til that point! XD

Your turn! (~_~)

There are a couple of animus that make me want to do that but I don't recall the name of some for the same reason... You will probably think that it should be vice versa

But the only one that I recall is tenjho tenge, cause the series drop and you don't get to see what happens next

I've run into a few more "table flip" worthy anime in the last few weeks.

11eyes (for as awesome as it started, it finished horridly...I gawked at the screen when it was over with feelings of School Days...yeah that bad XD)

Oreshura (Another series that was going along just fine and then the last episode blew it to pieces with the overly simplistic and cliche end...gah!!!)

Make it stop!!! XD

Onii-ai, although not really in a bad way. The series was actively trolling its audience for the last few eps.

Princess Jellyfish

THAT WAS NOT AN ENDING! THEY WERE OBVIOUSLY EXPECTING A SECOND SEASON TO FINISH THE STORY! WHERE IS THE SECOND SEASON????

Big O! (great show, abysmal ending)
Madoka Magica
Phantom Thief Reinya (how could such a mediocre show manage such a spectacularly cr_ppy ending?)

*wasn't crazy about the ending of Samurai Champloo, either.

I had a moment in SAO right at the start of ep 25. Thankfully I can flip my own table http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-portable-flipping-table

Neo genesis evangelion eps 25 and 26 doesn't make any sense with what was going on, and rebuild of the evangelion is a movie to re make those episodes

The ending to Pandora Hearts.

I mean, sure, let's face it, not a lot of Anime will be able to have all of the manga, I understand this. However... the ending was not only rushed with its whole, "OZ! Don't look behind you at that giant picture of a plot point!", but they decide to end it with a spoiler for later in the Manga, and not even do anything with it. It was like, "I know you're the main antagonist daddy, but I am my own person, and I will live life... COMFORTABLY!" Then it just sort of... ended without any true resolution except for that little thing about his dad, which going for the canon they set out, wasn't a big issue on Oz's part.

They didn't even bother making new designs at all, with the creatures being rehashed from the previous episodes >_<

I hated how Champloo ended. They've been through this life changing journey together, then they're all just like "ok lets all part ways." That's just one of my pet peeves. It's like, that sort of thing binds you together with a group of people. You can't just peace out like that.
