Hey guys.. DJ M.O.T.D Here.
Talking about something that to be fair is pretty "Gay"
Now.. I'm not a "Totally" Heterosexual male.
Infact... I'm pretty, Bisexual.
But i want to know your views on yaoi/Shonen-ai whatever you wanna call it.
I love it personally *Thumbs up*
Also if you do like it what kind of characters in it do you like the best?
Seme/Uke? Muscle/Thing? etc.etc.
I like Seme's the best :D I'm pretty Uke.

Personally, I am more of a bara person. I think that most regular yaoi characters look far too feminine, and if I wanted feminine, I would look up yuri instead. (This is just a personal opinion, and I respect everyone else's opinion too.) Bring on the muscles and beard stubble! I know it is written for guys, but I enjoy it very much, haha.

Solid Snake? Where? Oh, Otacon probably already got to him...
Anyway, I like the more feminine yaoi since its more humorous than anything. Some of those lines translated are so cheesy! Despite that, they can still be a lot of fun. I like romance stories in general, so anything that happens to tickle that fancy will work. I think a lot of them are really sweet. Ironically, I like shy characters and you don't see so many girls that way so much as guys in these sort of stories.

I can definitely agree with that, Kana. I mean, the humor and romance aspects. :) I do enjoy the humor and I do enjoy romances, regardless of the gender of the couple, but I was only speaking as far as personal opinion of aesthetics are concerned in the upper post. XD And you do have a good point there with shy characters... Or maybe it's just that clumsy, shy male characters are so adorable...

I'm a strong yaoi fan...some may say bordering on fangirl (I don't think so though). I'm fairly easy going with my yaoi, so long as they're not feminine characters. That just kills it for me

I too prefer Yuri more than Yaoi. In Yaoi most of soft one you know platonic love ^_^ and I think I never truly read manga which was truly only oriented about Yaoi.

I'm not a fan of yaoi, I don't read it. I'm not against or for it, but when it starts affecting the brains of those yaoi fangirls to the point of giggling and talking in audible hushed voices about how I would look so cute with some other guy with a yaoi paddle... I start to wish I had gone on a life-long mission of burning every shred of it in the world.

Myself, i can handle some yaoi, like loveless and gravitation, but not too much of it, lolz, I watch an anime that goes through a story, as long as it has a decent plot, i like it, xD
The only anime I can think of off the top of my head with male homosexuality were Sailor Moon, That fashion design anime with the bi guy, and I THINK that's it (Edit: and maybe that anime with the four guys who work at the flower shop... they always seemed pretty gay to me, from the couple eps I saw at the anime club I used to go to. Weiz Kruez I think?). And both were good. I dunno if I'd choose to watch a series that focuses entirely on homosexuality for the sake of fanservice, but any series that happens to have homosexuality in it is cool with me, so long as the series itself is good.

I'm not really a fan of Yaoi, I've never seen it and don't plan on, I just don't like is not like I have something agaisnt it, I just don't like it, but as Oni said, straight is well for me as well :D

Oh, just to clarify what I've said in the first place, I enjoy watching shows with all gender relationships. I am straight but for some reason I really enjoy yuri series XD But if the plot is good and I like the couples' personality, I'll watch it. But for aesthetics sake, if it's going to be guys, it's nice for them to look like guys and not girls, haha
