current anime line-up:

Toaru Majutsu no Index II (24 eps)- Fridays

Season 2 of Toaru Majutsu no Index. Set in a city of scientifically advanced superhuman students, but in a world where magic is also real. Kamijyo Touma’s right hand, the Imagine Breaker, will negate all magic, psychic, or divine powers, as well as his own luck. One day he finds a young girl hanging on his balcony railing. Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai (12 eps)- Sundays

Kyousuke Kousaka, a normal seventeen-year-old high school student, hasn’t gotten along with his younger sister, Kirino, in years. For longer than he can remember, Kirino has ignored his comings and goings and looked at him with spurning eyes. It seemed as if the relationship between Kyousuke and his sister, now fourteen, would continue this way forever.

One day, however, Kyousuke finds a DVD case of a magical girl anime entitled Hoshikuzu Witch Merle (Stardust Witch Merle), which had fallen into the entranceway of his house. To Kyousuke’s surprise, inside the case is a hidden adult video game titled Imouto to Koishiyo! (Love with Little Sister!). Kyousuke attempts to fish out the culprit who dropped the case by bringing up the topic of magical girl anime at the family dinner table. All that comes out is a strong negative reaction from his parents, especially his anti-otaku policeman father.

That night, Kirino bursts into Kyousuke’s room and, in perhaps the first conversation she has initiated with him in years, says they “have things to talk about.” Kirino brings Kyousuke to her room and shows him an extensive collection of moe anime and lolicon bishoujo games she has been collecting in secret.

He is known on the Internet as “The Capturing God” for his legendary skills to be able to “capture” any 2D girl in games. However, in his actual school life, Keima is known as otamegane, a derogatory portmanteau of the two words otaku (オタク) and megane (メガネ-”glasses”).

At the start of the series, Keima receives an e-mail offering him a contract to “capture” girls. He accepts what is thought to be a challenge, and a demon from Hell nicknamed Elsee appears. She asks for his cooperation to help her in catching the runaway spirits. These spirits hide themselves inside the girl’s heart, and Elsee suggests that the only method to force the spirits out is by “capturing” their hearts—making them fall in love. Appalled by the idea, Keima refuses after clarifying to Elsee that he is only interested in “capturing” 2D girls and that he detests reality. Nevertheless, with the contract already accepted, Keima would have to help Elsee no matter what; if they fail, both Elsee and Keima would lose their heads.

Anime has been somewhat declinging me recentley, last season the only anime i watched was "Highschool of the Dead", this season I'm only interested in the (finally) continuation of "Majutsu no Index", and "Star Driver" seems great thus far, despite the major headache i got trying to understand the plot.

Although thanks to this I;'m finally watching animes I shelved a while ago, specifically "Shakugan no Shana" and "Spice and Wolf 2". "Turn-A Gundam" would be on that list but I heard the ever sweetest new report that the dubbed version will be out soon.

Ore no Imouto is a really good show so far. I'm actually getting really good laughs when I'm watching this show, which doesn't happen too often.

Star Driver is okay. Nothing seems to stick out about it, but I'll keep with it 'cause it's one of those high-production shows.

Bakuman, Arakawa 2, Soredemo, and Ika Musume are the other shows that I'm watching; all of which are solid.

My two favs so far are definitely The World God Only Knows(Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai) and Otome Yokai Zakuro. Demon Girl Zakuro has been surprisingly good and even pretty funny at times - based on manga by Lily Hoshino.

Also like and been watching Squid Girl and Fortune Ariel.

Sure hoping that Funi/Hulu will announce some simi-casts soon - like Star Driver so it can be watched.....legally.

I've been wanting to see Otome Youkai Zakuro since I read about it (in Crunchyroll, maybe? I'm pretty sure that's where I read about it and Panty and Stocking). I'm not so interested in the others, although something might surprise me like Clannad did.

haha so much crunchy love in here, funny since most places seem to dislike but i mean hey free legal anime that is free no brainer.

Currently some of the series have gotten better some have gotten the same but none of them have gotten worse thank god, like Super Robot and Fortune have just gone to my top for sure. Im sad ANN doesnt air Samurai girls and Oremo anymore due to the problems they faced with the leaked ep but like Toynn said hopefully others will announce other series or crunchy can just pick up the left behinds ppl want.

My top picks so far are Star Driver, Bakuman, and TWGOK. I'm extremely behind in almost everything, but from what I've seen, most look okay. Yakumo piqued my interest after the first episode and while Togainu no Chi seems decent, I'm picking up some hard yaoi undertones to it. Most of it is pretty low key though, so it's still bearable. Things that I can't understand are MM! and Soredemo. MM! is just out there in terms of concept, and Soredemo doesn't interest my in any way, shape or form, yet I continue to watch it. Squid Girl and a few others are tolerable. Panty and Stocking has it's own category, as every Gainax series should, but it seems like they're doing it just beacause they can for the 'wow factor' and not for fans of their previous work. But hey, that's Gainax for you. #imotou

Season 2 of Toaru Majutsu no Index. Set in a city of scientifically advanced superhuman students, but in a world where magic is also real. I was quite taken by the whole new take on the 'Science vs Magic' approach the series brings, but I was kinda disappointed with the first season. The second season I'm hoping for something coherent in terms of an actual plot. More Biribiri x Touma is never a bad thing either.

The World God Only Knows (http://www.crunchyroll.com/the-world-god-only-knows) has in one episode just reached my top list of this season. Episode 4 is probably the most random hilarious episode in any anime yet.

To be so devoted to saving a game girl is epic and doing it all without saving a true gamer!!

That has been a very good show. Of course for me eps 4 is their worst eps so far but still enjoyable. I still I'm really liking Otome Yokai Zakuro the best with The World God Only Knows second.

I've not seen Kuragehime yet which was picked up by Funimation and I think started streaming on the 28th. That's supposed to be quite good so I want to watch a couple of eps and see for myself.

TWOGK is a good harem with an interesting premise

Hmm... I think I'll have to go by the ones I have watched one by one.

Didn't actually watch the first season until a couple of weeks ago. But disregarding the cliched echi gags I found this anime to be quite original in some ways and it really got me hooked. Most of the characters were interesting and it's a first in a long time that there's an actual male protagonist who's not afraid to punch a girl in the face. I'm glad too see the second season is following the same pattern, a bit more gags though, but nothing that will put me off from watching it. I have no complaints here at least.

This one was also quite original in the start, the protagonist is an actual normal guy. No quirks, not weird fetishes, just a normal guy who has a normal "sister" relationship. They fight, they don't let each other go into their rooms and so on... Now the thing about his sister being a secret otaku was funny, and still is. But I honestly don't like the direction the anime is going with the incest insinuation. Even if it doesn't happen and there's a twist, it feels like the creators are just trying to play on that gimmick and shove it down the viewers throat. (Not to mention I hate it when normal characters solves situation with completely irrational and out of character solutions)

I honestly still don't know what to think of this anime. Is it original... not really... It's fun and cheesy. Echi jokes are a bit overused but somewhat effective. I do like the art style though, pretty original, and the action is pretty cool as well.

I honestly didn't know this was the second season of something so when I started watching it I was utterly confused. When I realized I went back to the original season (still watching it), so no comments on this for now.

I like it, it's cute, charming has a decent story and some interesting hooks and plot direction. It's still at the start and not much plot development has happened since they're still introducing the individual characters.

Too cute... the whole scenario, protagonist and story just melts my heart for some reason. Maybe it's because I'm a geek as well, but all I know is I'm in love (lame I know xD). And the intro... so good.

Watched the first 3 episodes, couldn't watch anymore. This is just my opinion but it's bad... Nothing about this is funny, original or heartwarming. It's just forcing girl on boy violence gags to the max.

My first impression of this was: "What the hell is this crap". But then I thought about it for a while and continued to watch it. I then realized it was the perfect parody, cutesy childish animation/art style with extremely adult themes. And lately there has been some really good action (Episode 6 to be specific). It's fast paced and some of the stories are extremely funny and interesting. Downside is, it's a parody so it's bound to have some bad or unfunny jokes or episodes. But all in all I would have to say this is borderline genius.

Again I'd like to point out these are all my opinions and I don't expect anyone to agree with me.
And if there is an anime lacking here it's just because I haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

[EDIT:] This doesn't necessarily contain spoilers, I did it to be safe.

I'm mainly following Star Driver, Ika Musume, and Soredemo Machiwa Mawatteiru.

I catch up on Bakuman and Otome Yokai Zakuro when I have the time, though Bakuman has this kind of pretentiousness that I find annoying. I think its cause the artist (in the story, not the actual artist) is kind of know-it-all despite being inexperienced.

Also following Index II but I watch it less regularly than all the above shows. The entire first season I was extremely bugged by was the fact that it was a show with opposing Science and Magic factions, yet they never fight each other.

First half of ep 5 P&S w/GB absolutely made me gag...almost. If I ever watch that part again it will occur after I get a lobotomy. Then ep 6 came out. This show, tasteless as it pretends, is hilarious! I like it so much I even opted for premium membership on Crunchyroll so I could watch commercial-free. TWOGK seems like an OK show. It had a good premise but like PSGB some eps seem hit/miss.
TMnoI part2 is a good show. Watched it a year or so ago on Anilinkz.
Tried to watch LetterBee but lost interest 6 eps in. Same for Sora No Otoshimono...1st season seemed worthy of moderate interest but Season 2 is too pointless, too much fanservice. Dropped it after 4 eps.

I tried watching that Samurai Girls anime. Ugh. Honestly couldn't stand it because of the fan service. I suppose if I kept watching it, I'd understand the reason why the dude could kiss a woman and turn her into a crazy samurai master, but it was all too much skin and no substance. #srstable
