The Official "Guilty Pleasure" Anime Thread...

Hello all. Recently I have been watching all kinds of animes and stuff, and considering the kind of animes I have been watching, I guess I'm moving towards more "action oriented" animes (Which makes sense since I'm a guy I guess...) but the last "Guilty Pleasure " Anime I finished was probably Hamtaro... No lie... Please don't hit me. #ohdear

Anyways... I saw that nobody took this idea yet, so I thought I do (at least myself) the pleasure of making this thread. So please I ask you: What was your last "guilty pleasure" Anime?

Any magical girl anime I've watched, except CCS, I don't feel guilty about that 'cause CLAMP is awesome.

Also I guess Rosario+Vampire is a guilty pleasure as well, since the anime was pretty damn horrible, yet I can't bag on it since that's how I got into the manga.

I don't think I have any. Maybe the closest thing I do have to a guilty pleasure was Chi's Sweet Home. I don't usually watch anything touch-your-heart-cute, and especially so girl-ish. I really did like it though, ha.

I guess the key point is whether it's a pleasure to you that there is a lot of fan service in blood. So not only are you reluctant to tell your friends that you watch that show, you like the show for the very reason you're shameful in the first place.

HOTD, to me, wouldn't be a guilty pleasure because I didn't mind showing it to my friends, and while I'm a bit shamed by the amount of fanservice in it, it's just over-the-top to the point that it's not like I'm enjoying it because it's ecchi but rather because it's pretty hilarious how ridiculous it is.

However it's bordering what you can get away with in fan service certain parts of the anime.... that's why it's a guilty pleasure... I mean did you ever watch Episode 6? That Bath scene and what follows is a little too raunchy...

Queens Blade...Now anyway, before then I think it was Popotan. Which is not a bad anime, its just got a lot of nude bath scenes but Queens Blade is worse. Almost Hentai, makes me wonder how it got a TV-14.

Just so everybody knows it doesn't have to be Ecchi or harem or something like that to be a guilty conscience... It's just something that you'd be nervous if someone caught you watching it... I mean if somebody caught me watching HOTD I would be somewhat embarrassed but only at certain parts. Me watching freaking HAMTARO THOUGH???? I'd want to jump off a building... but that's just me...

I personally don't really care what people think of what I watch. If someone is gonna judge you based on a show you're into, then they aren't anyone I'd want to be friends with. And by the way, I likes Hamtaro. :3

Well I feel flushed when I watch HSOTD at school, however again I wouldn't call it my guilty pleasure.
Most of my friends don't like BoBoBo, and that is one of my guilty pleasures, and so was Lucky Star, and Hamtaro. However Sora No Otoshimono is probably my favorite of all time.

I like moe slice of life shows like Lucky Star and K-on! but I don't really consider them guilty pleasures. However there was this one time I was watching GA Geijutsuka Art Design Class on the train and was a little self-conscious about it all of a sudden.

Guilty pleasure would have to be Mitsudomoe, since most of my friends regard it pretty lowly, yet I think it's pretty hilarious.

Nagasarete Airantou. Although it's pretty episodic and the main character is stranded on an island inhabited solely by females, it's darn funny--especially when the talking animals are involved. xD

A very guilty pleasure genre would be romance. I don't like watching/reading anything involving that stuff if it ISN'T from Japanese origin.

Oh, the shame! My latest discovery isn't actually anime but a cartoon and--worse--Canadian! (Curse Elk and his henchmen!) Yes, I have become a fan of Alfred the Hedgehog. I was watching Qubo as the show came on and was instantly riveted by Camille Wallaby's eyes. In all my years of watching animated movies/programs, I have very seldom seen such true-to-life expressiveness in a character's eyes, especially that peculiarly-female way of narrowing them. Stories aren't too shabby, either...just one more reason to take over Canada, I suppose...
