I believe it is time I made a thread about Odin Sphere because I love that game with such a passion.

Things you need to know about it -

It is a 2D fantasy action RPG video game
Developed by Vanillaware
Localized and published by Atlus
It is only played on the Playstation 2
It is considered the spiritual successor of Princess Crown

Story -

Odin Sphere has 5 main protagonists that you play as, the characters of each story are connected to the royalty of each of the warring nations in the world of Erion.

Each of these protagonists wields a weapon called a Psypher which has a large crystal capable of absorbing Phozons which are released when an enemy is killed and they allow you do to things such as special attacks and are used when planting seeds.

These five stories overlap and interconnect, and the protagonist of one story is sometimes the antagonist of another.

SO without further adieu I want to say that my favorite out of the 5 is Gwendolyn!

She happens to be my avatar. #canhas

I have this game, but unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to playing much of it. I was told by many people that it was a great game though, so I'll have to finish it sometime.

Yes you absolutely must! But some people don't like it because it's repetitive but I love the way it is, there's so much story! ^^

This game is pretty awesome and everyone should play it.

Can't really choose a favorite character, I'm torn between Cornelius, Oswald, and Velvet.

Cornelius' story though, I hate playing through it. I have such a hard time controlling him. Didn't care much for Mercedes' either. Gwendolyn's was quite fun though.

Since I got my games back yesterday, I'm gonna start playing this soon. Maybe today or tomorrow if I have time. I'll post my progress and what I think of it in here when I do.

May be a bit late to this one, but this is one of the most stunning games I've seen on the PS2 and also a lovely side-scrolling RPG to boot. The Shakespearean narrative and voice acting, in both languages I felt were absolutely lovely! I keep going back to it from time to time, just to see how wonderfully the story comes together.

A great game IMO.
