I have a 360, so most of those games I just play on that...

but my PC is home to one of my favorite RTS of all time, DoW 2!!!

This game has sucked the soul out of me for the past 4 months. I havent even played borderlands yet cause of this games amazing single and multiplayer. Now Ive been ripped away by MW2 and AC2, but the new expansion is coming out in March... so more life lost when that comes out ;)

I also have DoW Soulstorm still on my PC, but why play the old one when the newer one is out (although Im going to a LAN party soon for the older one, alot of people like it better)

yeah none of my laptops are good except my blue one and i pretty much let my mom have that one it's just good enough to play penumbra but, only with laptop2go nivida drivers installed any who enough OT i have been playing a little bit fo mass effect here and there it's AI system isn't so hot.

as a former local pro gamers from the my nations top FPS team i am ashamed to say i am playing no games atm. lol...

haven't touched TF2 and L4D,

gonna get MW2 and L4D2 also soon so maybe i may get back into that not sure.

Who do you main in VP? I haven't played it since about a month after it's release, so I dunno how far the netplay has come, but when I did I played Kaede, with I THINK Eko as back up.

I really have to reget MB(Len) and GG(Jam). I enjoyed BBB(Burai) but I don't know if any netplay was made for it, and my more advanced fighter friends considered it way too broken.

But yeah, Fighting games (2D) are definitely #1.

On topic, my other two preferred gametypes are shmups and metroidvanias.
Which reminds me I have to get BMD and Cave Story on this machine.

Anyone have any good fighters/shmups/mvanias they could recommend me?

Y'all talking about Vanguard Princess makes me want to have another go at rigging my PS3 controller to my laptop, as I can't stand playing fighting games on a keyboard, especially if some has rigged up some good netplay.

I agree, but shooter has been taken over by the FPS crowd it would seem. Though I guess vert shoorter and horizontal shooterare the terms I should be using.
For the controller situation, I use the logitech PS2 style controller.

I think I'm getting L4D2 for XMas, so I'll probably play a bit of that. Not the biggest fan of fps, but they are pretty fun from time to time.

I main Saki, I have never been on netplay as yet. I love the graphics/music/gameplay but the one thing I'd have to criticize about this game is that the specials seem to be kinda hard to combo into from the normal moves. Though the support makes up for it I guess. And my ps3 controller's Dpad fail to work everytime. =[

If you get MB lemme know we can play sometime~. I can't seem to play with anyone in GG, I'm still working on that problem...and I'd so love it if someone came out with a BBB netplay. That'd be awesome, I main Seena.

Same, I couldn't stand playing with my keyboard and I remember that ps3 controllers connect with a usb hub, and then I found the driver. It's a miracle I tell ya <3

I REFUSE to buy ANY PC game that has invasive DRM such as SecuROM and Starforce. So pretty much, I don't buy many PC games anymore. SecuROM and Starforce slow your PC down, force the loyal consumer to continue to buy extra copies due to small number of install allowances, disable LEGAL third party programs (Like Process Explorer), and sometimes prevent you from playing due to changes you make to your PC's hardware (such as switching video cards or DVD drives). It's really sad that companies are treating their loyal consumers with this crap. Also, if you want to actually learn more than I explained about SecuROM and the like, go to google and search for "reclaim your game".

Anyhow, I digress. Back to the subject! I play a lot of retro PC games like System Shock, X-Com, Diablo (1&2), etc. I also support and play any modern PC game of my interest that does not package in DRM like SecuROM. In addition to all of these, I have an unhealthy addiction to Audiosurf :tongue:

@kami_kaji yes, i would have to agree with you. too much DRM is dumb, the game companies know that their games are going to get pirated, why put so much protection on the games when pirates usually crack the game protection within a few days? it seems pointless to me. I personally think that incentives would be a much better way of getting legit sales. why make it way more of a hassle to have a legit copy than a pirated one? Apparently some game companies dont understand how to encourage legit sales...

but anyways... ive been playing a ton of Touhou recently, gotta love UFO, its the hardest official title, but the best and most addictive in my opinion. such an awesome game...

Hmm...I've played WoW, Mabinogi, Bejewled, Peggle, Plants v. Zombies, and Diablo II within the last few monthes. I'm a big Popcap Games guy! WoW has lost it's appeal to me however...on hiatus until the next expansion. Diablo was just cause I was bored, as the game is still great :biggrin:

I'm mostly a mmorpg gamer. But man am I bored with the stuff that has come out lately.

I play WoW. I made the mistake of getting all geeked about Diablo 3 and free stuff including beta access for Mists of Pandaria and bought a annual pass...what a BIG mistake that was!! LOL I don't even play WoW for more than a few minutes a month now. Bleh

I was one of those fanboi SWTOR hopefuls that loved the KOTOR series but its translation into an mmorpg was not very well executed. The concept was great...consequences for your actions, evolving relationships with companion characters. Beta was fun. Had hopes until release revealed the engine they used was not up to spec.

I tried The Secret World next. Really had fun playing that! It was H.O.T.D. come to mmo in a way LOL! But technical issues again forced me to put it away.

Up next is GW2 in a week. I got early access just as a last hurrah, cuz if this ends up being a bomb for me, I may give up gaming altogether LOL

Yes, PC gaming has jaded me for now. And OH do i agree with the DRM bs. If I bought the game, leave me the heck alone! XD

an MMO player I like this person I too waste mass amounts of times playing MMO's whether it be WoW or DFO looking through my games list I have about 13 MMO's I'm currently in the process of playing

13!? Yikes! =) I got dizzy after trying to play 3 MMO's XD

With all of the other stuff I'm working on now, even 1 MMO may be too much eventually. I just hope Guild Wars 2 is good. I think I'll cry if I have only WoW to play LOL

I'm super excited for guild wars 2 and making it a one time payment is making me even more excited for it now i just need a job so i can actually afford it

Just finished playing through Borderlands with my brother and at some external prodding ended up giving Team Fortress 2 a shot for the first time. It's actually pretty fun considering how adamantly I avoided it before, though I'm still learning the ropes in all honesty. I am finding myself really enjoying the Medic class, though given the other people I've encountered I would seem to be in the minority.

I've also started playing Dungeon Siege III, though I dunno if I'm going to continue it or not. It's a decent game, it just doesn't have any elements that really stand out to me. And what with the list of unplayed games littering my Steam library, that's not a good thing! :P
