I stumbled into a fairly menacing pair of tests the other day and I thought it'd be worth sharing. I'd like to issue you all a formal challenge as fans to test the expanses of your anime knowledge with this little obstacle course:

Sad thing is, it was mostly the newer animes I kept getting wrong. XD

No shame in that. 3 months and 12 episodes and most modern series are gone and done with until their DVD release, and with a good dozen or more titles airing each season. Given the time it takes for most to hit American or European shores, it's not hard to miss out on most of the most recent things. I admit I hadn't seen most of the early 2000s titles and could only recognize them by theme song, characters, and art style.

You think so? 27 pre-2000s might be a bit much for some people now'days, but there were only maybe 4 or 5 pre-1990s titles. Personally, I think the time limit was a bit harsh, there's barely time to listen to it twice, and even then a lot of the clips are really fast and in strange parts of the middle of songs. Actually... somehow the titles that gave me the most trouble were all between 2003 and 2005.

And 30/100 on the second..... Seriously I would have had more on both if the spelling wasn't so darn picky

My second test score: 35/100. I think the one I'm impressed of knowing on that was Loveless. But I swear, I had a minute or two of just staring at my screen and going, "what the heck??"
