Siege Spots – Valkyria Revolution
Valkyria Revolution, with its new action-based battle system, is definitely a bold new direction for the Valkyria series. But does this new battle system work in this spin-off's favor, or does this revolution fall flat?

The Wandering Witch at WorldEnd: What are you doing?
Welcome, all, again. I want to discuss in this column a gem that I only recently found, WorldEnd: What are you doing at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us? (Mind you, from here on out I'll simply call it WorldEnd:. The full title is waaaaaaay too much typing!)

Alice & Zouroku (& the Wandering Witch)
Welcome, all, again. A new viewing season has begun and, to be honest, I'm not quite sold on it. Not yet, anyway. There are a number of series that show potential, and a larger number of maybes, or even maybe-nots. Very few shows this season have commanded my immediate attention; one that did, however, is Alice and Zouroku.

The Wandering Witch Lives Vicariously!
Welcome, all, again. Today we will discuss Seiren, a slice-of-life series which follows protagonist Shoichi Kamita and his interactions with three very different girls. Now, the purpose and triumph of slice-of-life as a genre is its insertion of its audience into the very lives of its characters.

Welcome, all, again--I wish you the happiest of whatever holidays you might be celebrating this time of year. With this viewing season winding down, I will in this column discuss those new shorts that have contributed so much entertainment despite their brevity. And there have been some great ones this season! With so many to choose from, I'll have to limit myself to just four: Ninja Girl & Samurai Master; Kiitaro's Yokai Picture Diary; KAIJU GIRLS; and ...

The Wandering Witch – Learns the Drop Rule
Welcome, all, again. I'm very excited about this month's review(!), having chosen to finally discuss March Comes in Like a Lion. In truth, I've been saving this one, letting the series ripen and develop before presenting its review. I am a passionate fan of slice-of-life, and I could not ask for a better balance of allure and unease, stoicism and wistfulness.
