The Wandering Witch – Learns the Drop Rule
Welcome, all, again. I'm very excited about this month's review(!), having chosen to finally discuss March Comes in Like a Lion. In truth, I've been saving this one, letting the series ripen and develop before presenting its review. I am a passionate fan of slice-of-life, and I could not ask for a better balance of allure and unease, stoicism and wistfulness.

The Wandering Witch — Gets Left for Last
Welcome, all, again. We've begun a viewing season chock-full of magical girls and witches, and so--especially with October bringing Halloween--I just had to pick one such series for review. So I went right to what promises to be one of the best of the lot, Izetta: The Last Witch.

The Wandering Witch – Gets Scientific?
Welcome, all, again. We will in this column discuss one of those series acknowledged here last time for their beautiful artwork and strong stories--Alderamin on the Sky. Admittedly, this season has been characterized by unusually detailed artwork and attentive--dare I say, sometimes overly attentive--character development in a surprising number of shows. Even so, Alderamin on the Sky is special.

The Wandering Witch – Visits an Empty Restaurant
Welcome, all, again. I am incredibly excited about this season's offerings(!), a number of which seem to strongly emphasize artistry in both story-telling and visuals. But I am especially enjoying Sweetness and Lightning (sweetness & lightning on Crunchyroll.com), a show which explores the adaptive nature and strength of family.

The Wandering Witch – Cheers on the Bike Club!
Welcome, all, again. Even as this rather hit-or-miss viewing season winds down, I manage to remain impressed with the quality of certain programs. And one program that deserves special mention before it rides off into its sunset is the motorcycle-themed BAKUON!!

Siege Spots – World of Warcraft by Daniel Lisi

Siege Spots – World of Warcraft by Daniel Lisi
World of Warcraft is the second book I've read in the Boss Fight Books line, and it's a product of their third successful Kickstarter. Yeah, three of them. Like many of the other books in the series, it's a deep dive into its game, talking about it from a beautiful mix of objective and subjective perspectives, and I love it.

Siege Spots – Odin Sphere Leifthrasir Review (PS4/Vita)
Originally released in 2007, Odin Sphere was largely praised by critics for its deep and complex gameplay. At the same time, however, reviewers and players alike noted that the game suffered from slowdown that could sometimes make the game unbearable. Now, two console generations later, we have a remake of Odin Sphere called Odin Sphere Leifthrasir.

The Wandering Witch – Gets Shorted (Again)!
Welcome, all, again. As with the last few viewing seasons, we are once again being introduced to some fun new shorts. And, personally, I'm a huge fan of the style. Shorts offer a quick hit of anime when it might otherwise be difficult to fit in viewing time, or when you just don't have the wherewithal to watch a full-length episode.
